Just wondering...Will you be having a Trash the Dress photo session

I had never heard of such a thing until i was reading an article about it.  Have any of you considered it?

I did a TTD session with one of my BFFs who's a photographer. Pics in my bio. She wanted to have a TTD in her portfolio. My gown wasn't quite as dynamic as we'd like for some cool TTD shots, so I purchased a clearance gown from David's Bridal ($99!) and we used that. It was so much fun to go to the beach and get some good shots. I highly recommend going. I was laying on top of a very damp redwood tree trunk, kneeling in a foot of seawater and laying down on wet sand. The gown looks like new after getting it cleaned.

I do kind of want to go back and get some more shots with my wedding gown and see what we could come up with. It could be fun.

Sarah, I'd love to see the photos you get from the desert, they it sounds like those could be really amazing!

YES, but my FH is a photographer (non-wedding) so Im just going to have him do it so its free haha I trust him to do a great job, plus I am comfortable with him more then anyone else.   We have a few ideas in the works right now, I will be doing them in the fall after the wedding & when its cooler...

Yes, my husband and I are doing our trash the dress photo session on our wedding anniversary which is next week on July 23.  We are using KLKPhotography and Blue Sky Video who will be doing our TTD photo session.  I was showing my husband some TTD photos and he really liked them.  He said, "let's do them" and we decided to do them on our wedding anniversary, a unique way to celebrate our anniversary.  We can't wait and yes I'm using my original wedding dress.  One more excuse to wear it since its been hanging in our closet all this time.  I think the pictures will be awesome and it's another great way to preserve your wedding dress in artsy, edgy pictures.

We're doing a TTD video session with our awesome vieographers Still-Motion out of Canada.  I really can't wait!  To me, having art is better than a dress in a box.  But to each their own :)

Yes, we are planning to do artsy fartsy trash the dress pics as well. It is so much more fun! I am actually paying more for that session than the actual wedding day photography =)   I will never wear the dress again and by the time your kids grow up and get married,  they would think our dress is outdated...hehe  Some people buy a cheaper dress to trash for the photos.

Check out my photographer's portfolio at http://www.hungctran.com  especially salton sea session  http://www.hctphotoblog.com/?p=33 he finds beauty in the most odd places. My best friend's sister had a session with him and had a blast! (Jackie & Teang session)

I did and it was the most fun!  And the pics are awesome!  I highly recommend it and would do it all over again. BTW, even though we rolled in the sand and frolicked in the ocean and posed on the lava rocks in Hawaii, my dress was in no way trashed.  It went to the dry cleaners and came out like new.  A few beads came a little loose and they retightened them.  Same with the hubs suit.  He had to have the hem of his pants taken out to remove all of the sand, but besides that, no big deal.  They just rehemmed them afterwards!  DO IT!
