Kid Friendly Recipes?

I need some quick fix, kid friendly recipes.  By kid friendly I mean stuff they like to eat. No goat cheese, wine or other gourmet ingredients.  Whole I love things like that our kids don't have very sophisticated palettes and they are under 21. :)

Also, if it's something I can make alot of on a budget that would be great.

We are getting bored with tacos and pasta.

Thanks! :D

One of my favorite go-to recipes is Chicken & Rice.

You can cook it in the crockpot all day or you can cook it in the oven.

Just chicken breasts (salt and peppered), sliced onions, and sliced mushrooms (if you have them) in a casserole dish. I then mix two cans cream of mushroom soup with two cans of milk and pour it over the chicken. Cook it in the oven on 350 for 50-60 minutes (with foil over it) or cook it in the crockpot all day. Then I just make some white rice on the stove and put one of the chicken breasts on top and pour the sauce over...YUMMY!!!

My daughter is a really sophisticated eater, but I think most kids love tater tot casserole!!  It's really cheap and easy to make!

Not sure how your kids take to spicy food, but I created my own Mexican version of the casserole if you want?  It's a lot more flavorful, but a super picky eater might not like it.

Have you checked out Jessica Seinfeld's recipe books?  I don't have kids yet, but I love the concept and even make some of the things just for overall healthy eating.

Really unhealthy but yummy,

Chicken breast strips

Parmasean cheese (lots)

what ever fried chicken seasoning you like (I use garlic, pepper, paprika, onion salt)

mix seasoning with cheese.

Dip chicken strips in egg and then in the cheese. Pan fry.

These come out soooo crispy and yummy. They are carb free. Thats acutally how I found the recipe in the first place.

then I mix mustard, mayo and splenda for honey mustard. Even FI thinks these are the best ever chicken fingers.

Lately we have been making homemade pizza, soup, also chili, breaded chicken, and hes been LOVING salads go figure lol Other then that we trade off on our usuals too- Pasta, chicken & veggies, tacos, or a crock pot meal like roast or stew, etc.

What Im finding helpful is making 'variations' of our usual.  Like I have been making these little tacos- but when they are done I wrap them like a small burrito (Meat/ cheese/ black beans/ spices) and lay them on a pan- spray with that cooking spray on top and throw in the oven for a few minutes- they get nice a toasty/crunchy and so yummy :)  Or when I make pasta- I change it up- regular, meat sauce, meat balls, lasagna, shells, or I put chicken in the crock pot all day with the pasta sauce, some veggies, and spices, etc. and its changes up the flavor for us.
