♥ ♥ Kristen_Tater's Wedding Day Recap 2!! ♥ ♥
First Part of the Recap (got REALLY long :P http://www.projectwedding.com/post/list/kristen_tater-s-wedding-day-recap)
We got to the reception around 530 - had dinner until 7, then toasts until around 730. Tate and I then cute the cake (which looked JUST like our inspiration pic!!!) and then had our first dance!!
Pro Teasers: Us kissing at the reception, my MOH in the bottom left :P
Pro Teaser: First Dance
Honestly, our wedding day was as perfect as it could be!! There were no hiccups, everything and everyone was on time, I seriously couldn't have asked for a better day!! It was the best day of my life :)
On to after the reception..... our reception was over around 11:30... we said goodbye to everyone and thanked them for coming! At around 12:10 (technically not our wedding day ;)) Tate and I were ready to go to our wedding night suite.... he grabbed his tux coat, and his face just went pale. I asked him what was wrong, and he couldn't find his ID or Credit Card. Now, usually this wouldn't be a big deal.... except our flight was leaving 8 AM Monday morning for our honeymoon to Hawai'i, and we don't have passports. So...we started panicking. We spent the next 2 hours calling everyone we could, bridal party, parents, party bus, everybody to see if anyone had found it. No one had, and I was devastated. It didn't put a huge damper on our wedding night, but it definitely put a little one on it! Just imagine me, in our hotel suite.. in my wedding dress... crying because we didn't think we could go on our honeymoon!!
Fast forward to the next day - it was in our usher's tux coat, he took Tate's on accident. The worst part was, he was sitting there when I was crying and when Tate and I were panicking. He told us he looked in his coat pockets, but of course that was a lie because Men's Wearhouse found it right away!!
So sorry for the long recap, but here is my advice:
Don't sweat the small stuff!! I HATED our tall centerpieces, my florist didn't do what I asked her at all with them. Yes I hated them, but our guests said they were beautiful because they hadn't seen my inspiration pics or what was in my head. :) I still get mad thinking about them, but they're just centerpieces. If that's the only thing that went bad, I had an amazing day (which I did!!) Also, only like 10 guests did our "recipe" guestbook. Was I annoyed? Yes!! (paid $50 for that!! :/) Do I really care?? No :) I am married now!
Book the important stuff!! I am so glad we put our videographer in the budget! Our ceremony was short, and I don't remember most of it. I am so thankful we hired a videographer so I can relive that day not just through the pictures!
Book the fun stuff too - if you can afford it!! People raved and raved about our photobooth - another thing I'm glad we budgeted for! I'm glad we have pictures of our guests from that day!!
Thank you all who read this all the way through!! Hopefully I get our pics soon so I can show them off!!
Also, here are some more pro teasers I posted the day after the wedding! :) Enjoy!
