Laser Hair Removal

Has anyone here had it done recently? Did it work, did you like it, how much did it cost? I am very very seriously considering this - particulary bikini line first, if i'm not broke then definitely underarms!! FI and I are honeymooning in Jamaica and I really dont want to have to deal with shaving every day, and bumps, ack. So, anyone want to share their experiences before I take the plunge?

I started the process on my underarms while I was still working at the spa, but I was too busy to commit to all of the sessions.

The one thing I will warn you about is that although it is permanent, hair can grow back when you go through hormonal changes. (ie. pregnancy) For this reason, I have decided to save until I am done having children. It's too much money to throw away.

You will probably have to go anywhere between 4-8 times depending on your body, so depending on when your honeymoon is, it might not be "completed" by then.

I had my bikini area done about 5 years ago. It wasn't 1/2 as painful as I thought (and I'm a baby when it comes to pain). I've had a little regrowth, but it's much more fine than it ever used to be- and I can shave in about 2 seconds... and the best part is NO more ingrown hairs or shaving bumps!! So worth it. It's certainly pricey, but in small amounts, it's totally worth it.

Ugg, I don't really remember. I got mine done at a clinic in Beverly Hills. I think my bikini line ended up costing about $600 total? Seems like a lot- but man, I haven't had to shave in 5 years. SO worth it!!

It does not work on blonde hair.  Everything else is fine, but you probably have to do it more than once. :)

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have a friend who is looking forward to get the laser treatment done since she wants to be bikini ready. As summer is near, she is very excited about it and is ready with all the stuff. She has got a great pair of shades, a dollboxx bikini and a hat and is set to dazzle the beach. I will share these experiences with her. They might prove helpful to her.
