Loft-Reception in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills?

Does anyone know where there is a loft-style reception place in LA or BH? We were looking for something a bit more hip and modern, because we are both young. Not the typical ballroom, especially since we have a guestlist of 40-50 people. Something with a view would be great (city view?) and windows. I have been looking for over a year, and it is time that I ask fellow brides who know their stuff!

There's an awesome place called Marvimon: http://www.marvimon.com/.  Also check out the Oviatt Penthouse: http://www.herecomestheguide.com/location/detail/oviatt-penthouse

Also, this might be a long shot, but there's a really cool penthouse at the Biscuit Company Lofts that hasn't sold yet - they might rent it out for events.  The neighborhood is super-sketch, but the space is beautiful.

HTH!

I love the marvimon. it is a little rustic looking, and we are doing modern decor (all white, different centerpieces on each table with the same kinds of flowers, square tables and all different sizes), so it will be a great juxtaposition. Do you know their prices or anything else that looks like that?

i'm having my wedding at marvimon on 11.22.

it's $5500 to rent it for 12 hours.  in addition, you have to bring in all the chairs and tables.  if you want any catering done on-site, you have to build the kitchen from scratch.  it's so much more money than we originally anticipated but i know it will be worth it in the end.

if you have any questions, pm me :)

Thanks so much! That price is dissapointing, cuz we can't fit that in our budget. It looks like a great venue! :(

If you want more raw loft-  you can try these photo studios:

these will be cheaper but you'll have to bring everything in

(parking is not great)

(I did a big family reunion there for a friend with over 120 people and it was great)

Hey Hourglass,

That's exactly what I wanted in a venue.

Here are all the places we looked at and actually visited:

http://boxeight.uber.com/

http://www.gatheringguide.com/event_directory/ca_california/event_venue_3840.html

http://reccenterstudio.com/flash/flash.html

http://www.centerartseaglerock.org/index.php/rental

http://www.myspace.com/hangar51

www.pelocations.com

and we ended up chooosing:

NOt orginally what we wanted and it needs a total makeover but we liked the price and are up to challenge of making it modern

I really like some of these, particularly the last one that you chose. Is the space big? We are only having 40-50 people at the reception.
