Looking for Linens

Ok this might sound photo 91222-1

Ok this might sound crazy.. But Im trying to save money here. Or I will be stuck with a ton of linens.. Is any one selling any round table linens.. Tables that sit 9 and I also need squared table linens we will be putting 2 8x16 tables together so Im looking for 16x16 table linens.. I could rent them out or get stuck making them.. Im looking for a bargain  I need a total of 12 round and 12 squared........ This is the hard part I need either deep Burnt Red burgandy or a Gold.....

how about going to the garment district downtown LA and looking for the specific color you want then buying tons of fabric and just making them???

the fabrics are really inexspensive (and everything else for that matter -- FG dresses, flowers, crystal beads to make jewelry - anything and everything)

another thing to think about---> if you buy them - how easy is it gonna be to unload them after your wedding??  versus renting-- if renting is $$$ more than buying - you still dont have to worry about selling them or have them taking up space since you just give 'em back kwim???

just a thought...

could you maybe use the ivory or white ones they provide and then do a runner or shorter overlay in your colors...might cost less?

ooo!  i like jackie's idea of using the venue's linens - but then using your own overlays or runners!!

A great place to look for overlays is the area of town that caters to quincineras.  Since they are elaborate affairs, they often have table linens and sashes in a variety of colors to rent.  The prices are usually cheaper because people often don't have the same kind of budget as they will downt he road for a wedding.  I know that chair sashes at one party rental store that I went to in the south bay were $1 per sash.  I would assume that overlays would be equally reasonable.

I just got a quote back...  Am I the cheap one or does this sound reasonable..

For 12 gold round linens... $217

and on top of that I still need the squared ones.. another 12

Im going to head out to a fabric store and see how much it would be for the fabric.... and I might end up making them on my own.
