losing the weight..

how long did it take u girls that lost weight to do it? i am down to 4mths and id like to lose 20-30 lbs...what worked for you? im keeping a food journal, counting calories and fats, and doing some exercise! any tips?!

I've been using MyFitnessPal.com and it's GREAT! You track your calories burnt, how many calories you're consuming, and a ton of other things. There's also boards where you can talk to other people. 


I can't say anything myself yet as I'm starting tomorrow, but the Jillian Michaels 30 DAy Shred seems like the best workout that you can get. The DVD is $10 at Walmart and Target, and if you go look up "30 day Shred results" on Google- you'll be amazed. it's no scam, just a LOT of hard work! They also have it on Netflix :)


Another thing is to make sure that you're drinking plenty of water. They say around 8 glasses, but being around 12 (especially if you're exercising) is where you'll want to be. Make sure that you're eating about 6 meals per day, as opposed to 3 larger ones. Replace any beef with ground turkey, and make sure you get "reduced fat" anything that you can. Remember to load up on veggies, too!

If you have netflix, check out the workout videos that they have on there. My yoga instructor recommended a few of the yoga videos they have for extra practice, and I think they're great!

I actually started my weight loss goal about 7-8 months before the wedding so I wouldn't have too much pressure and I could also do it the healthy way.

The 30 day shred is intense!! You will be SO SORE at first, but it definitely gets easier and is a fantastic workout when you don't have a lot of time.
