LR3/Photoshop

I ordered Lightroom 3 last week and have been playing around with a trial subscription.   Do I also need photoshop or can I post process my photos only using LR3?  Thanks!

You can totally do them all using LR. In fact, it saves me SO much time. I used to take DAYS to edit a session in PS... and in LR now it takes me less than half the time.

LR3 keeps my PS time way down now.

I only open PS to add a few actions that I have yet to reproduce in LR and for my watermarking action (that I know I can create in LR, but again, have yet to do it and still only takes me mere moments in Bridge/PS3).

You can do a little bit more in PS, but for the price and extra time, it's really not worth it IMO.  LR3 can process 99% of the photos.  I mainly use PS to clone stuff out, but I do that only in rare occasions.

What they said ^^^

I process 99% of my work in LR now, which cut my workflow in half.  I only sync up with PS for things like tilt shift or to get rid of cellulite on my boudoir clients.  Even those can be done in LR if you know how and/or have a plug in (still figuring that one out).

Makes me SO mad too because PS is so bloody expensive, and LR is so reasonably priced - and it's the one I use most, haha!   PS is helpful for design work (album layouts, logos, watermarks, advertising layouts) so it's nice to have, but for simply processing photos?  You're probably good with just LR!
