Mailing Treats NWR

Hello Ladies, ok I am getting ready to make about 200 cookies and browines to send out this week by mail. I need to know what is the best way to package them so they will arrive not broken. Should I use metal tins (like cute paint cans from hobby lobby) or martha stewart cookie boxes?

Here is the other style of boxes? which should ship better to avoid broken pieces? I plan to ship some of these tomorrow and have to get the supplies today.

I think the boxes in your second post would protect the cookies better. Sounds like an expensive undertaking! Just curious, but what are you sending all those goodies for?

Its Ramadan the Islamic month of fasting, it will be over in a few days. I am muslim so we celebrate our holiday Eid;  for 3 days after Ramadan. Traditionally my family all comes together and has party for 3 days, toys are given to the children lots of dinner parties, sweets, ect, the ladies have henna parties., you wear fancy dress ect.. (Kinda like a Muslim Christmas lol)   Since most of my family is spread our right now in differnet states and I wont be able to make the trip this year to Michigan to see everyone else. I decided to make cookies / brownies for my friends & family celebrating in other states.  So i will begin baking tonight the cookie receipe i use you add instant pudding to the mix which keeps the cookies soft for up to 1 1/2 weeks after baking. I may use it on the brownies also.

Oh, that's awesome! What a great way to celebrate with your family from distance!

Is it appropriate for me to say Happy Ramadan? If so, Happy Ramadan! (If not, please educate those of us who are not familiar with the right thing to say.)  :)

I agree with the boxes. I send out cookies for Christmas and used boxes for the first time a few years ago, and they were received in wonderful condition.

Happy Ramadan to you and your family!

I know that probably sounded silly, but I have never lived anywhere but Kentucky and Tennessee, and those states are not exactly known for diversity. I am very upfront about my ignorance in my attempt to not offend. ;-)

I wish I was close & could help you! I used to bake all the time, but my husband is diabetic, so we keep sweets out of the house now. Sometimes I really miss the baking!
