Mani/pedi's for the bridesmaids

I've found the nail salon where we are all going for our mani/pedi's but now I am trying to decide on the colors. Our colors are purple, bright green and white. I am most likely going to do dark purple on my toes and a neutral on my hands. My girls are wearing purple dresses, like a true, bright purple. I was thinking about asking them to get purple on their toes (let them choose the shade), but not sure about their hands...neutral maybe or the same as their toes? Also did you tell your girls what colors you wanted them to wear or did you let them choose? I don't want to seem too bossy... Thanks :)

If you are paying then it is up to you for the hands. If they are paying, I would say go with neutrals so they can enjoy it the following couple of days to a week depending on type of mani.

As for the Pedi I would say that the color is ALL YOU even if you are not paying! They can cover their toes at work LOL.

Get their opinion and talk to them.

I know some girls have the extra cash and won't mind paying for nails for a day. When I had money to burn I did and I did whatever the bride wanted and gladly did more and spent more to help make her day special!

I honestly think it's up to you. But ditto idoagain...it kind of depends on who is paying for them. I let my girls choose their nail color. So overall, it's up to you however you want it to look :) But I think if you don't have a really specific look you're going for, letting them choose might be nice because their nails won't be a focus in many pictures at all.

i agree with everyone above, but i also think you should consider the types of photos you have planned for the photographer to take.  if you are planning on a shot of all the girls and their shoes...then the shades of purple would look really great, but shades of purple along with neutrals wouldnt.  the same goes with the nails.  a closeup shot planned of all the girls holding their bouquets?  if so i would say either neutrals or purple but not both.  i know that would bug me evey time i saw that photo if i let the girls do whatever.

My ladies and I did our own nails the night before at my hen party; I allowed them to choose whatever color they wanted (though I did suggest one of my purple polishes to my BM who was wearing a purple dress), and I think all of them went with clear polish on the nails.  I'd say that if you're paying for it, you should have a say, but maybe keep each lady's style in mind.
