Manzanita Branches !!!!!!!!!!
Manzanita Branches and Trees For SALE!!!New grouth and Old! Any size and shape! not a vendor just another Bride to be on October 25, 2008
My name is Marina and my Wedding will be October 25th 2008.
I wanted to have Manzanita centerpieces for my wedding but was having a hard time fitting them into my budget. I went to the Flower Marts in Los Angeles and also tried online. Everything was to expensive for me. Turns out my Brother who has a home in the mountains has Tons of Manzanita trees!! He's never done more than look at the trees all the time he's lived there.
I went this weekend and got as many as I could fit into my truck! He extended the invitation to feel free and get as much as I wanted. We are talking over 40 trees. I was able to get 6' trees which I will use for my church and reception area. Also huge top heavy branches that I will use in the receiption area and ofcourse medium to large centerpiece branches. I am in Manzanita Heaven!!! So I thought I'd extend my good luck with other briedes. I have Lots of pictures if you'd like to see.
If you are in or around the Southern California area and want to drive and pick some up. I guranty the price will be astronomicly lower than what you will pay with a vendor. Also since I am very crafty, if you'd like to purchase "ready made" centerpieces. I can make some for you which you can decorate or ask me to do for you. Price can be talked about to. Again, certaintly lower than a vendor would ask for. I am a stay at home future bride so I have all the time and resources I can ask for. Let me Know if you are interested by emailing me.... email@example.com
Trust me.. this is a chance of a life time to get something we all want and few can afford! I'm just trying to share the luck of finding the stuff with everyone elese. Only reason I'm charging is I have to hike some bit of a way to get to the trees and carry the stuff back! LOL
I'm currently working on making my own centerpieces and mounting them. I'll have those pictures up as soon as we are done with atleast one. These are two little Branches I'm going to start playing with now. These and similar branches are what I have to offer. But these are the little ones!!! The others are in the comment somebody left with my pictures before I knew how to add the photos. So, you have an idea. But they still have to be painted like they do at the flower mart and then made very shiny and dark to make them pop!!! LOL My average branch is 3-4 feet!!! But I can get larger ones like the tree bellow.
All Branches are in their untreated natural state. But as I found out. Taking the bark off the branches is as easy as dousing them with water and letting the bark become moist. Then you can even scrape it off with your finger nails!! That's how I am cleaning mine up for my own wedding centerpieces. Some people like the natural rustic look. Some leave the bark on and paint them a solid color. I like the red wood color so I take the bark off with the water and then paint the branches with a spray on high polish varnish sold at Michaels or Moscatels. Then I apply a clear finish. My Son is holding one I did for myself. I like them smaller and not so heavy. Kind of like a Japanese tree would look. I like them with less branches. But what I sell are full and top heavy like most people like. I just took lots of the branches off of mine. Good luck to all and all the best. Marina
