Manzanita Branches !!!!!!!!!!

Manzanita Branches and Trees For SALE!!!New grouth and Old!  Any size and shape! not a vendor just another Bride to be on October 25, 2008

Hello All,

My name is Marina and my Wedding will be October 25th 2008.

I wanted to have Manzanita centerpieces for my wedding but was having a hard time fitting them into my budget. I went to the Flower Marts in Los Angeles and also tried online.  Everything was to expensive for me.  Turns out my Brother who has a home in the mountains has Tons of Manzanita trees!! He's never done more than look at the trees all the time he's lived there.

I went this weekend and got as many as I could fit into my truck! He extended the invitation to feel free and get as much as I wanted. We are talking over 40 trees.  I was able to get 6' trees which I will use for my church and reception area. Also huge top heavy branches that I will use in the receiption area and ofcourse medium to large centerpiece branches. I am in Manzanita Heaven!!!  So I thought I'd extend my good luck with other briedes. I have Lots of pictures if you'd like to see.

If you are in or around the Southern California area and want to drive and pick some up.  I guranty the price will be astronomicly lower than what you will pay with a vendor.  Also since I am very crafty, if you'd like to purchase "ready made" centerpieces.  I can make some for you which you can decorate or ask me to do for you.  Price can be talked about to.  Again, certaintly lower than a vendor would ask for.  I am a stay at home future bride so I have all the time and resources I can ask for.  Let me Know if you are interested by emailing me.... marina.guizar@gmail.com

Trust me.. this is a chance of a life time to get something we all want and few can afford! I'm just trying to share the luck of finding the stuff with everyone elese.  Only reason I'm charging is I have to hike some bit of a way to get to the trees and carry the stuff back! LOL

I'm currently working on making my own centerpieces and mounting them. I'll have those pictures up as soon as we are done with atleast one. These are two little Branches I'm going to start playing with now. These and similar branches are what I have to offer. But these are the little ones!!! The others are in the comment somebody left with my pictures before I knew how to add the photos. So, you have an idea. But they still have to be painted like they do at the flower mart and then made very shiny and dark to make them pop!!! LOL My average branch is 3-4 feet!!! But I can get larger ones like the tree bellow.

But as I found out. Taking the bark off the branches is as easy as dousing them with water and letting the bark become moist. Then you can even scrape it off with your finger nails!!  That's how I am cleaning mine up for my own wedding centerpieces. Some people like the natural rustic look. Some leave the bark on and paint them a solid color. I like the red wood color so I take the bark off with the water and then paint the branches with a spray on high polish varnish sold at Michaels or Moscatels. Then I apply a clear finish. My Son is holding one I did for myself. I like them smaller and not so heavy. Kind of like a Japanese tree would look. I like them with less branches. But what I sell are full and top heavy like most people like. I just took lots of the branches off of mine. Good luck to all and all the best. Marina

New as of 10-02-08 !!!!! a whole truck load of this!!!!

Manzanita Branches and Trees photo 73597-7I've got tons of Manzanita this size!!! most of it is this size now.

This is just what I got on my First trip. We made two trips this past weekend 8-23 & 8-25  Seems the more I went there the better the branches were. I guess you learn what to look for and all.

LOL I think if anyone goes into a forest they run the risk of getting arrested.  The Manzanitas are growing in my family property. Our land, our trees. LOL Besides, the branches are dry wood that are no longer growing with the trees. Most beautiful wood I've ever seen when dried. Unbelieveable how smooth and clean and light it is when you remove the bark. Gorgeous!!! A little elbow grease and you save yourself hundreds of dollars.

Marina - THANKS again for the manzanita! I def. missed Mitch when it was time to unload the car. My fiancee hasn't exactly wrapped his brain around my branch craze. I am afraid to send him pics!

Potential Manzanita Seekers - Just wanted to let you know Marina is the real deal. I had the pleasure of meeting her and her fiancee this Sunday and they are both fabulous! Even better is that the manzanita she has looks great! For those in the LA/OC area, I def. reccommend checking out her stock before purchasing them online or the flowermart. You will get much bigger pieces for your money and you don't have to worry about haggling down the price! This sounds insane but I bought manzanita branches for my upcoming Nov. wedding in Chicago! I have yet to figure out how to get them to the Windy City but that's another can of worms. Happy planning everyone!

Swati,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was great having you here to get your fill of the branches. I am glad you left the comment because it will help other people see this is not one of those "Hidden Agenda" things.  We are all going to get married and if we can all help one another out with little things. We'd all be better off. We are a community of *Brides to be* so this is when we should all be able to pull our resources.  Thank you again and I am so happy we were able to help you. Wasn't Mitch a trooper? I love him so much and am amazed at how he just helps out without nagging!!! LOL  Let me know if you need anything else. Don't forget, regular water dousing takes the bark right off the branches for a clean smooth surface.  Then you spray paint it!! LOL

I'm going back out tomorrow for another batch of the branches. This weekend was buzzing with brides to be taking my entire stock!!!

I was also lucky enough to be in the LA area this weekend and picked up a few manzanita branches from Marina.  These branches are definitely worth a lot more than she is charging, and I'm even going to leave their natural bark on them!  I got two huge, full branches to use at the entrance of my reception.  They are light, too!

Thanks Marina.. you were very helpful and gave me such a great deal!  =)

Thank you Vy.

Now I'm getting flooded with emails!!! LOL  All I wanted to do was share my good fortune.  But like I said in my ad.... "Trust me, this is a great deal" but I guess it is kind of hard to believe people selling stuff online. I know I don't trust people... The fact that I'm not a vendor makes me feel like "I hope they like what I have"  But nobody has done more than praize what I've got here.  I just came back from more picking.. There is sooo much!! I need to buy a truck now!!!
