Are you doing menu cards when it is not a sit down meal? How? Show me pics!
i love these luminaries! these are diy too!
we had a buffet and I used double sided picture frames to put the table # on one side and menu on the other, so I only did 1 per table:
We are haivng a buffet dinner and I plan on printing a menu, around 5x7 size, and framing one on each table. That way guests know what is coming and a brief description they will see at the buffet. Plus I just love the idea of menus hehehe:) i'm a stationary whore :)
We didn't do a menu, but I did make signs designating what each item was and they were placed on the buffet tables ... no pics on this computer so will try to post them later if you want.
I like knowing what I'm eating (I'm weird about food I can't readily identify) so I would definitely indicate the meal in some way.
Lilivati, I think you hit the nail on the head. If people can't recognize the foood, they may not eat it. Even if you don't need "formal" menus because it's a buffet, putting signs near the stations, etc. is helpful. That is what I am thinking of doing...
We had a sign up at each food item of the buffet identifying it - no one in my family knew what "couscous" was...
We also had these "Welcome" notes laid out on each table in between each seat, so four to a table. They were a personal message to our guests with the menu.
i am putting cards in front of each item to identify what it is
I think the "Welcome Notes" erindira used are a great idea for this!
I did for my buffet...put one at every table setting
