Metformin- bleck

So today is day three on my new meds (metformin). I felt fantastic on day 1 and 2, but today I felt like total crap. Nausea, headache, dizzy, stomachache. UGH! I was hoping I'd be lucky and not get any of the horrid side effects that come with this medicine.

I am going to fight through this though. I don't care if I feel like complete crap for weeks, the first time I ovulate will be worth all of this!

Oh and I had the other health issues cleared by my doctor today. We have decided which month we are going to start TTC. It starts with an "M" lol

A lot of my patients take Metformin for diabetes and they usually feel the same as you when they begin the drug. The symptoms should resolve within a week or 2:)

We're not TTC, but I'm on Metformin because I have PCOS (helps with insulin resistance). The first month was H-E-L-L! Totally TMI, but I actually pooped my pants at work one day.

In the end, it is SO worth it though! I think I read that you have PCOS too, right? I feel so so so much better...and it doesn't hurt that it increases fertility ;)
