MOH speech

Okay girls, I made a post last week about my friend asking me to take her MOH's place in the wedding.  Seems she is going to ask and now I am thinking of the normal things that will be my duty if she chooses to step down.

Like the Speech!!  My only bad subject in school was language, english and i am the worst at writing!

Does anyone have any tips on writing a speech like this?  What have you guys said in other weddings?  HELP!!!

I have never given a MOH speech but I wouldn't worry about spelling, grammar or things like that, people will not know how it's written on your paper, they can only hear what's coming from your heart. I would suggest to keep it short and sweet and maybe mention a good story you have had with the bride and congratulate both for the wedding and wish them the best....don't overthink it ;)

Dont worry too much about it. I had a speech wrote up and ended up not even using it. I just spoke from my heart and I think it turned out better!

just speak from your heart a MOH speech isn't really 100% necessary so your not the pressure so much as the BM speech. Keep it short and smile :)

Oh man, I am on the SAME boat as you! I'm not good in front of a crowd or giving speeches! I have panic attacks! .....But just speak from your heart, say what you love about the couple and how they are adorable, maybe say a story of how you met or just maybe a funny memory yall have together!

No worries it will all come in place perfectly! :)

my MOHs speech was short and sweet, and the ONLY time i cried during my whole day! it was less then 2 paragraphs long, and she bascially summerized our friendship/childood (shes my cousin), why drew and i are perfect for each other, and then threw in a curve ball mentioning my dad and how proud he would have been of me if he could have been there. it was the perfect length and had just the right amount of funnies and sentiments in it.

you deffinatly dont need to make a long drawn out speech! just something heartfelt and to the point of why you love the bride! (and groom lol)

I like the MOH speeches that come from the heart they mean the most and are sincere and don't sound rehearsed :)
