Planning a wedding on a budget is not easy. What are the best ways to save money on your wedding day?
Venues tend to cost less when you plan for a day other than Friday or Saturday...sometimes that's a huge money for couples.
Deciding not to have an open bar is also a saver..perhaps beer and wine.
shopping for gently used wedding items and decor, i always see great deals on craigslist
Everything is negotiable!!
Sometimes a hard one to compromise on...but a real money saver...cut the guest list! I wish we could have lol
Find a company that does DJ and photography packages. 2 services under 1 roof means less overhead and they usually pass the savings on to the bride... we do!
Spend less on decor, nobody is going to remember it a month after the wedding anyway!
After your dress and ring budget the DJ and photographer next. The DJ is going to entertain your guests all night and the photographer is going to capture the memories for you. Your DJ is 85% responsible for the success of your reception, so don't budget him less than your veggie tray :D

thought of another...use sparkeling wine instead of champagne. it can be a lot cheaper. and technically if it doesnt come from the chapagne region of France it is sparkeling wine anyway.
Great post krosa!
I say negotiate as best you can. I got my venue for two days with $500 off the rental price and I still get $300 refunded after the wedding. I got photography, videography and a photobooth from my photographer, and includes all day service with 2 photographers for $1100 all from negotiating with them. Same thing with my catering. Cocktail hour food, buffet dinner food, and some dessert with drinks and full service for 100 ppl for 1250.00 flat rate.
WOW, these are all very good ideas!!! Mzdannic86 can you help me out!!! Can I have your photographer info?
Great ideas, ladies! Thanks.
