I'm having a 11:30 ceremony, and the lunch reception follows right after. It's outdoors and I'm terribly worried about getting a sunburn :P
I think it's great because I love the outdoors and the sunlight.
We had a morning ceremony, started at 11:00am, took about 25mins, cocktail hour followed by lunch. Our reception ended at 4pm.
It was perfect, we got a chance to go home and relax. Since we were leaving for our honeymoon early the next morning. I was able to spend time with my family who came in from out of the country just the night before the wedding.
As a matter of fact, the feedback I got from some of our guests was great, that they still had time to do other things in the afternoon! Of course there was the few who asked "who gets married in the morning"
TNT, I was worried about hair and make up as well. But my hairstylist came to me and did my hair and a couple of the other girls, as well as the make up artist!
TNT!!! omg - i'm dreading the 630am hair and makeup!! but on the upside - it wont be too hot in the morning to take pics - i dont wanna be "sweaty bride"
If I had my wedding my way, I would've opted for a morning wedding and did a brunch-type reception afterwards...my FI and I area WAY into breakfasting and brunching so it would've been a good compliment to us...I saw this article in Martha about having these silver-dollar pancakes, eggs benedict, mimosas, french toast, etc...I think it would've been wonderful =)
now you've made me hungry!! never mind i just had a snack and breakfast at 7am =)
TNT - It's not so bad...esp if you are getting ready with your BMs. Natalie Buketov was at my house at 4:15 am and everyone was so excited that we didn't really sleep..hehehe
Yup. 9:00 a.m., followed by a (small) brunch (hopefully... still working on that... lol)
My ceremony starts at 10:30am ditto on the sweaty bride it's way to humid here! Plus my price went from $90 to $40 pp what savings!!!
I had an 11am morning wedding with lunch afterwards. It's great because in the summer you won't die in the heat and lunch menu catering is less expensive than dinner.. even though it's the exact same food.
