Mother/son dance help...

OK..My FI and his mother don't have a great relationship, that being said we don't know what to have him dance to with her.  He wants something short, maybe a little upbeat and definitely not mushy.  We are stuck..and this is really difficult because he doesn't even want to dance with her.  I'm making him though because I don't want him looking back and regretting it.  So we came to this agreement of "short and sweet".  I'm stuck, please help.

I think that is a great idea that you are having him dance with his mom! :]

What I did was told the Mother of the Groom and my Father that they had to choose the song they wanted to dance to that they felt had meaning to them. It makes them feel like they have a part and something special. :] That is what I recommend!

Hope it helps.

Sorry, i'm no help.  My mom is forcing me to "dance" to Rascal Flats' "my wish".  Ugh.  Not exactly my genre of music but it's what she wants.  Does the mother have any interest in dancing or are they both pretty lackluster about it?

Also, most DJs can edit songs to some degree.  If they just want to do a 2:00 song you can have them cut out an extra verse or at the very least do the slow fade to zero with the sound.  Good luck!

We're doing the mother/son dance at the same time as the father/daughter dance. Its one less 'dance' for the guests to sit through. Would he be open to that, that way 100% of the attention won't be on him and his mother the whole time??

GL!
