Music Recommendations

Hey Ladies :)

So I'm sitting here trying to come up with music ideas for my ceremony. I checked the 'wedding songs' tab but there are way too many ideas, many of which I don't find super helpful to what I'm looking for.

We will be outside not close to power, so I think we are going to have my FI's old teacher play the harp and one of his groomsmen play guitar and sing. So, what songs are you ladies using? Prelude music as people are getting seated, processional, your walk down the aisle, and the recessional???

I think hearing what you ladies used or are planning on using will be more helpful to me. All ideas are welcome, but as a side note, I think I may be going the traditional route for my walk down and using Canon in D played on the harp :)

Thanks in advance!

Canon in D on harp would be beautiful!

The songs we used:

Boys entrance: Back in Black by AC/DC (might be hard to play on harp!! lol)

Girls entrance: Ecstasy of Gold by SF Symphony & Metallica, beautiful song with no words, just awesome music ;) In my opinion of course

Bride entrance: Fur Elise by Beethoven (my name is Elise)

Good luck on your music choices! Harp and singing sound great!

As Guests are being seated:

Forever and Always

Because you Loved Me

All My Life

To Make you Feel my Love (my cousin is singing this and my uncle playing the guitar)

Bridal Party and myself walking in to God Blessed the Broken Road. We are having the song end before I get all the way down the aisle on purpose. Then my son and I will look at each other and run the rest of the way down the aisle. (no one knows about this but me, my son, the officant, our coordinator and the DJ)

Processional-For You by John Denver

You can't go wrong with Cannon in D!!

I also had a guitarist and keyboardist played accoustically outside, it was awesome!

I let them play any kind of soft music while guests were getting seated.

Bridal Party Processional: “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” – Elton John

Bride’s Entrance: “The Prince of Denmark’s March” – Jeremiah Clarke

Solo: “When You Say Nothing at All” – Allison Krauss

Recessional: Immediately after we were introduced as husband and wife, the musicians broke into “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”. But we walked back down the aisle to “Listen to the Music” by the Doobie Brothers…a family favorite!!

There are more ideas on my Bio page...hope it helps!!
