My invitiations went out.....

and I have already gotten 3 emails asking if people could bring their kids...UGH!!! I did not put "adult reception" on my response cards because, while I would not be offended if I got invited to a wedding where it was an adult reception, some people would be.  I guess that was my own stupidity.  Anyway, the only guests that got their invitiations addressed to them "and family" were immediate family only. So, if the invite did not specify "and family" why do people even need to ask????  I am just going to have to very nicely tell my guests that FI and I are paying for almost everyhting ourselves and simply can not afford to pay for everyone's families.  It's just frustrating!!!!!!

Awww, Lipia, I feel your pain. We left "adult reception" off our invitation but put a disclaimer on our website- all events are R rated. Can you do something like that? Plus my MOH is on it, she is spreading the word like wildfire!

My MOH is too (she is engaged to my FI's cousin) and it was actually someone from his family....she called and said, "the invitation was only addressed to me and my husband, but can I bring my daughter?" WTH?????  My MOH is the best and she told them that NO they could not bring their daughter.
