Need Advice: Having Veil Second Thoughts!

I purchased this veil from Esty after a fellow PW gal posted it. I fell in love. I never thought about having a bird cage veil before, but I thought it would look great with my dress. But now I am having second thoughts. I love the pic that *Wil* has with her veil and I'm not sure how the pictures will come out with the birdcage. What do you ladies think? Should I get two veils? Or should I just stick to the birdcage? I purchased this veil photo 49659-1I purchased this veil photo 49659-2

I like how the birdcage looks with your dress. Maybe once u get ur birdcage try it with the dress & try a veil just so u dont have that second thought.

I would wait until you have your dress. Then try it with the birdcage. This will help you figure out whether to use the birdcage veil or buy a traditional veil.

i was a 2 veil bride.

i bought the long one because my mom made me and then fell in love with a birdcage.

i tried so hard to love the birdcage once i tried it on with my dress but it didn't work with my hair style.  my sister said if there's any doubt that you don't look pretty, don't wear it because you'll feel uncomfortable all day.  so i sold it on ebay.

i'm wearing the long veil with a super cool tiara for the photos and ceremony and taking it off for the reception.

i say do both - long for the ceremony and birdcage for the reception.  if i could find another cool birdcage to work with my hair style, i'd do both.

What about wearing a longer more traditional veil for the ceremony and the bird cage for the reception?  OR since you're having TWO ceremonies (lucky girl) wear one to each?  That way you have pics with both! :)  That veil site occanseydesigns has VERY affordable veils so it's not really a risk...  I LOVE bird cage veils...just don't think I can pull them off! :)

Kristeen- I have a feeling I'm going to be like you. My dress should be coming in next month, so I guess I'll wait to have both the dress and the veil and try them on together.

Beatie- Two ceremonies, double the hassle! haha The first ceremony I'll be wearing an Indian wedding sari, so the veil will go with the outfit. Otherwise, that would've been a great idea! I checked out that site and they have some really nice, inexpensive veils. I might end up getting one from there just in case!

You dress is beautiful I'm sure the birdcage would look amazing with you. But if you are having doubts, I think you should try the long veil and the birdcage with the dress.
