Need opinions please

Hello Diva's.

Last weekend while my BFF was in town we went dress hunting.  There are 2 dresses that seriously have my eye.  Maggie Sottero Arabella and Chelsa.  Both coming with some sort of cape/wrap.

No bridal shops within 50 miles of me had Chelsa, but a couple had Arabella.

I went and tried Arabella on and I LOVE IT!!!! I love my curves so I like the fit better than the Chelsa.  After recent weight loss I HATE my arms, and to be honest, although Chelsa is a stunning dress, I think its the capelet that drew me to it moreso than the dress.  Anyway I know until I have a few drinks in me and I loosen up and come up out of whatever I am wearing (besides the dress..lol), I will want my arms covered.  Especially with all that attention on me.

Below is a pic of Arabella, and Chelsa, and then a pic of me in Arabella.  I am pretty sure Arabella is the dress, but I don't like that wrap on my arms. Although giving me coverage, I would still be uncomfortable because of the way it moves and rides up.

So my question:  Do youthink the Arabella dress paired with the Chelsa capelet will look okay???

humm, I LOVE the dress, and I LOVE IT ON YOU...I agree about the caplet though, not feeling it, it looks like it will be uncomfortable.

I'm trying to imagine it with the Chelsa Capelet and I just don't know.... I Love that dress so much, I feel like it would be ashame to cover the neckline up, even if it is sheer...Or maybe it just needs something a bit more simple so as not to take away from the dress...I say get the dress and look around a bit at different boleros, something that covers your arms but shows off that georgouse bodice... it shouldn't be to hard to find the perfect one for that dress.

humm I LOVE the photo 3431475-1

<3 Arabella

I can also see why you love the other. However if I wore Chelsea I would never take off the cover!

I love the Arabella with the Chelsea capelet!! You lookin stunning in that dress. Annnnnd don't get so down on yourself about your arms, congrat on the weight loss: live it up! Just keep working those arms every day and you'll soon see the difference you wanted to see from the start. you'll look gorgeous either way :)

The Arabella would be gorgeous with the Chelsea capelet, but I don't see why you should get the capelet anyway. Don't be self-conscious about your WEIGHT LOSS!

thanks ladies!  I have struggled with weight ALL my life.  I have lost/gained weight a lot through my life.  But when I lose, I lose fast...causing loose skin issues no matter how much I work out.  This is the smallest I have ever been, and don't get me wrong, I am happy and proud but we know we are our own worst critics.  I was 300 lbs almost 2 years ago.

My theme of my wedding is very vintage and that Chelsea capelet is perfect that why I always loved it. I would wear it for the ceremony and photos.  When it is time to party and all is said and done I won't care anymore about the arms and will take it off and dance the night away.

My best friend who came with me to try on Arabella saw me in it without the wrap. After talking to her the other night about my arm concerns she said to me that honestly without the wrap, she never once looked at my arms or thought anything about them. She is also brutally honest, so if they did look bad she would have said something.  So maybe it's all in my head but I really want to enjoy this day.  Not be self conscious.
