**Nikolaiweddings** Recap and Non-Pros- Pic heavy!
My brother and sister-in-law are finally married! WOOT! Here's the low down:
The Good: The bride and groom were both looking their very best and so happy! The decor came together nicely. No one had to be removed due to bad behavior. The little flower girl (my dd) walked down the aisle with no problems. The food was excellent and the bar was flowing all night.
The Bad: We ran out of clean cups so we had to switch to paper. The eco-friendly forks were awful and they kept breaking while people were eating :-( There were a few DIY projects that didn't get done, like the fans. The cake was a mess and I'm pretty sure it's going to end up on cake wrecks. The caterer did an amazing job on the food, but he had trouble with the cake because of the heat.
The Ugly: The officiant dressed so inappropriately! She wore a Hawaiian shirt and clogs. She totally ruined the pictures. So here's a tip: make sure you know what your officiant is wearing. I never thought to ask because I assumed she knew better. The "guest" of the officiant tried to steal a couple mugs when they were leaving. We had a couple crashers that the groom personally removed.
The Hilarious: During the ceremony the officiant said something about the groom being a man and doing what he's told. So everyone starts laughing. My nephew yells out "Stop laughing! It's not funny!" I almost cried I laughed so hard.
Here's the non-pros I took:
