no bouquet and garter toss

I've got a problem, I won't do a bouquet and garter toss and I am wondering what to replace them with.  There are no single guys in our guest list.  Help!  Also, my fiance is on the shy side.  Any suggestions?

We aren't having a bouquet toss or a garter toss either. There are really not enough single people coming to our wedding to do them, as well as the fact that I just want to break the traditions. We're having an Anniversary Dance though. Basically, the DJ invites all couples to dance and then calls off 1 year, then 5, and so on until there's only 1 couple left. I was planning to have the DJ shift into "their song" since I know my grandparents will be the last couple on the floor. Generally, you give this couple your bouquet or you can do something special. I'm thinking of giving them one of these.

Oh course, you don't have to do anything in place of the "tosses". You could just keep the dancing going. =)

We are not having any of this either. But I agree keep the dancing going most of our guest are married or have been a couple for a while. If its in your budget just have single carnations at each female place setting, or have your hostess hand them to the ladies as they enter the reception.

We did exactly what Silverstar is planning with the bouquet, and ditched the garter toss all together. Nobody missed it. Lol. I don't think you have to replace it with anything.

We are doing the toss but also doing the shoe game for fun, the dj will have a bunch of questions like "who will take out the trash" then we each had one of each others shoes, or I've seen it with barbie dolls too. The guests will get a laugh I think from it and its different. :)

DreamingOfYou~ Suggested to me, to give the bouquet and garter to the oldest married couple at your wedding and let them share a dance. I really liked the idea that I think that is what I'm doing to do.

I'm not doing them either.  Our crowd is older and we don't have a lot of younger guests, so it would be a waste.

I am taking my bouquet to my Mother's grave site on the way from the church to the reception hall.

The garter will be shared with my FI only! :)

I'm not doing a bouquet or garter toss either. Mostly because everyone in the wedding party is already married or engaged and the same goes for most of our guests. I also just want to have more time for the dance floor to be open to everyone so I'm not planning on replacing them with anything.

I won't be having a bouquet and garter toss either. No singles at my wedding. Haven't decided what to do instead though.

I don’t know if you necessarily have to replace it with something else. I like the anniversary dances that silverstar2011 suggested but we did that and the bouquet/garter lol its your day so you can choose to include or exclude any of the ‘traditions”. Unless you are looking to fill in time then you should be fine with nothing. I had to look for time to do mine so I would have been happy with none lol
