nothing like a saturday morning scare :/

So I got to work, sat down, logged in and went to the bathroom and I found blood in my underwear and more blood when I wiped... worst nightmare ever... I manage to keep it together long enough to get DH on the phone (he had just left work) before I started bawling my eyes out, DH called my midwife and l&d and she said to come in.  I get there get put in triage hooked up to the monitors and Hunter sounded great. To make a long story short when I got hooked up they found out I was having contractions!! 2-3 minutes apart (I couldnt feel them) I ended up having them for 90 minutes before they slowed down and then went for a sonogram, every thing looked great and they couldnt find a reason for the bleeding, and at this point the bleeding had stopped. Got back up to triage to find out I was having contractions again 2-4 minutes apart- this time they lasted about an hour and stopping on there own. So I got admitted for the night to monitor the baby- the night itself was pretty uneventful, no contractions, no bleeding, no sleeping and I got released sunday morning.

I asked if they thought they were related and the Doctor said yes, he thinks the bleeding caused the contractions. I was told if I have anymore contractions or bleeding to come back to l&d ASAP but other then that I am only on pelvic rest and strict orders for no heavy lifting.

I did get to find out that Hunter is getting big already! According to the sonogram, at 30 weeks gestation he is measuring 33w almost 34w in size and weighs almost 5lbs!! Cant wait to meet my baby boy, well I can wait 6 more weeks for him to be full term!

So scary!! Looks like your LO is a funny one...isn't he who hide on one of your appointment so your Dr. wasn't able to hear the heartbeat?

Anyhow, I'm glad everything is fine for now and as everybody said, tell Hunter he needs to stay in a couple more weeks! Take care of both of you!

Clips! Oh my gosh, how scary for you & your DH! So glad that everything is okay now & that Hunter is still snug as a bug in there. Take care mama! Almost done, hoping that 6+ weeks goes by fast for you on bed rest!

How scary! Hopefully things will go much smoother from now on. Sounds like he's a troublemaker already!

Oh my gosh, that IS scary!  I'm glad everything is okay, but let's hope Hunter keeps patient and stays full-term.

Yes! I'm determined to make it full term! Alexis came at 36 weeks and she had common complications for pre term babies that landed her in the NICU... I don't want a repeat :/

That sound so scary, Christy. I'm glad things are okay for now. I'm thinking of you and hoping little Hunter stays put for just a bit longer. {Hugs}
