how was the rockin and rollin with the 5.8 earthquake just now??
all is well for us. My office building was rolling, but we're out in Torrance. epicenter was 2 miles from Chino Hills.
A few co-workers can't get through to their houses out in the valley. But I think everyone is alright.
just got a text from FH - his office is in Chino...
im home.. *playing hookie* grabbed my lil girl and ran to check on the hubby's little sisters.
i HATE EARTHQUAKES!
ok, now I remember why I would NOT be able to live in Cali!
OMG MY FAMILY. I can't get through!
my friend works in Long Beach, and the elevators are shut down and no one can get anybody on the phones....
We felt it..I work in orange. At first I thought someone was running or something, then it hit. Did anyone feel the little aftershock? So far everyone is ok...I am just worried about my little niece in preschool. They are on a field trip!
some phones arent working!! omg omg
i hope all you girls are ok!
I'm ok here...I was home alone. I should have listned to my guts this morning. I made hubby breakfast and I wanted him to stay home today.
I felt it out here in the SF Valley. Everything here is ok. My cat is really freaked out and doesn't know what to do with herself. She keeps trying to hide somewhere and refuses to go back upstairs. I must say, I love Verizon Wireless, I was on the phone to DH before it even stopped. The news is reporting alot of people haven't been able to use their cell phones or hard lines in the Inland Empire.
i spoke to everyone except my sister who works next to Chino Hills. I know she's fine but its so frustrating! my aunt in claremont had her wall hangings fall and break. Ugh.. I hope this is the last earthquake e in a long time!
Phones aren't working, finally got through to my little sister who has heard from both parents and my grandpa, everyone is ok... apparently the dog is confused because our pool was sloshing around like crazy and so now she is sitting next to it waiting for it to do something interesting again.... stupid dog.
cari - i heart verizon also - the minute it happend i got a text from dh - who works in chino - and then a phone call...
I didn't even feel it cause I was on the freeway. Then I got a call from FI who sounded worried and wanted to know if I was ok. I was like yeah why? Then he told me. I was worried about my staff and the kids I work with (I'm the Director of a child care center). When I pulled into the parking lots minutes later, they were all outside sitting under a tree just as they are suppose to be. :)
Now I am at my office ALL BY MYSELF for the rest of the day!!! I'm a little on edge.
I'm ok thanks for asking! I was in the office with two other co-workers. We went to lunch right after. We can't really trust our building. It's old and we're on the second floor. Earthquakes are no joke. Good thing is, most of my friends are posting their status updates on facebook. At least I know they are ok too.
I was in my car when it happened. I thought one of my co-workers was messing with me. Most of the companies around us sent their employees home..hehehe
abbatyref - we should do lunch one of these days. I don't work that far from you...or happy hour:-)
thanks for asking!...glad to here that all the other So Cal girls are ok.
We live in Chino Hills and i went home to check everything seems fine, just a lil shaken up. The quake seemed to be worse with things falling off the shelves @ the office in Walnut here. Cell phone were't working until an hour later. Crossing my fingers that another quake doesn't happen anytime soon.
I work only a few miles away from Chino Hills (San Dimas) - oh and it was crazy.
I am ok. We felt it here in Manhattan Beach pretty strongly. We live in a old beach house with no foundation and I swear I thought the house was going to come down, it was swaying back and forth. Thank god my friend just stopped by to drop something off so I didn't have to go through it alone!
