NWR: B.E.T awards...

I have watched the B.E.T awards over the years and to me it is getting ridiculous. every year to me it is becoming like the MTV awards everything is for show and ratings. Last year they did a triute to MJ and in my opinion Chris Brown should have performed. He wouldhave been the best person to perform his tribute. I think they were really biased by not letting him perform b/c of the issue w/ Rihanna. I am not saying I am for domestic violence(I was a victim myself), but she forgave him. Not to mention Chris brown is very young and people make mistakes. Of course the controversy is whether or not Chris Brown's Performance was an act. Me personally I am not a Chris Brown Fanactic however I do know that Chris Brown LOOOOVES MJ and his performance was awesome. I think after this I/m not going to watch it anymore :-/

What are your opinions on the awards??

Bull crap on how they want to say Chris was not genuine. I'm not a big Chris Brown fan either but they definetly try to kill this boy and that is so wrong on many levels. They want him to fail; media is always on a man hunt!

To be honest.......... The reason CB didn't perform was the legalities of it all. He was just charged with a FELONY 2 days before that for putting that beatdown on Rihanna, so I highly doubt anyone was going to put him on a stage tribute or not.

As for BET itself they are a FRAGANACKLE BS corporation and the only time I give them my money is for things like this. I'm highly P.O'd that I will have to watch the GAME on that network... Thinking I may have to catch it on Casttv.

The highlight of the awards was seeing crackhead El Debarge make a comeback he was O-mazing.

I am aware of the legalities, but they let Lil Wayne do it(all about ratings). Even TI performed on BET, but of course they cut it out if you were there you saw the performance....smh. They actually didn't let him do it because of Rihanna and Jay-Z performing..(ratings) real sad how they pick and choose.

Yup everything is  based on ratings/numbers and Internet traffic.

I have a few friends who work at that blasphemous company and I can tell you Jay Z and Rihanna was not the main reason he was dumped. Yes, they voiced there opinion and also  reminded the network of the restraining order against him...........but ultimately they did not tell VIACOM what to do and how to run things.  Viacom the billion dollar company would have been able to figure out how to get them both on the show and "try" to do it smoothly.

Really, it was all about the FOOLWANGY ish that BET is known for... i.e, the other artists you were talking about and also the things that usually go down after any awards show they host.

BET is trying to clean up their image..... Lawd help them if they think by adding a few shows to the schedule, trying to enlist bigger names to the network and extra security will do that, but Whateva.

CB was able to do his tribute and it was much better than last years. I hope he is able to get past this and will never, ever, eva, eva raise his hands up to another woman again.

Any comments on Alicia Keys???...me personally after really listening to her album I was very disgusted at seeing her at the awardsabout what she has done. Me having been in Mashonda's shoes before I do believe in two sides to a story and just by looking at what transpired I am not in her favor...:-S.

I would like to know who her stylist is so that I can slap themI would like to photo 1966330-1What were they thinking having her tramping around on the stage with her dress riding up like that. I could almost tell the sex of her baby.

She sang a song about Karma awhile ago and I wonder if she rethinking that one? Glad to see that Mashonda has moved on with a cutie.

I think everyone should give Chris Brown and 2nd chance - he is a young man and I feel like we all make mistakes.  I don't agree with what he did, but everyone deserves the right to redemption.

As for Alicia Keys - I think it always easy to side with the wife - when the other side to the story isn't being told.  I know for some people there are grey areas as to what constitutes "being single", but if someone is legally separated BEFORE you even begin a relationship with someone I don't see the big deal of them being together now.  Mashonda has even said herself that the relationship was over WAY before Alicia came into the picture - she is just upset b/c their divorce wasn't official before they came out publicly with there relationship.

@ Octobersky....LMAO...@the sex of the baby. Like really???? first you come out with a long dress hiding and then you come out with a placemat of a dress...like c'mon son.. I am very happy for Mashonda that she has moved on, but @Spatton about legal separation I agree if both parties have said "hey we are separated" then ok, but that wasn't the case. They were still living together, just had a child and we all know if you just had a kid  their are feelings involved still....I'm sorry, but I would be inquiring.....I tell many of my friends "the other woman" never owes you know explanation if she is being told your not together, but behind closed doors you really are...(the only person you can get mad at is urself). But again we don't know the gray areas of the story but the way it looks it looks really bad on her part.

Ok on to the next performer =D..........anyone loved Ms. Williams performance?

Mashonda said that she spoke with Alicia about six months before all of that went down with the separation. She asked if they were romanitcally involved and if so if she could back off for the sake of their then 6 month old son. For them to continue with the affair is something that I cannot respect, I started dating my FI when he was legally separated I had documents to prove it. If I didn't have those we wouldn't have been together.

Read Mashonda's open letter:

There is waaaay more to the story.

Yep so much more. I remember the whispers way back......... I mean WAY BACK and they were long before he was separated from Mash.

Glad they all have moved on, and for the baby's sake I hope he settles down this time around.

I was glad that Chris Brown performed during the tribute...I personally think he's the only celebrity that could have pulled off that performance...I don't think Usher would have done it enough justice.

CB and Rhiana knew their relationship was toxic and should have let it go a long time before that...just weird that society doesn't want to give him a second chance but we have yet to look into Rhiana's mental state..hell she's probably a real nut job (no excuse for what CB did)...just my opinion.

Hopefully the both of them are getting their lives together.

Please tell it poppy... I don't buy that this was the first time that either one of them were violent with one another... I don't believe that it ever escalated to the manner in which it did but I just don't buy that this happened once.

I think that it's funny that people like Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn, etc. get second chances but this boy (because he was a boy) doesn't. These are grown men that have behaved like savages and one of them is the highest paid sitcom entertainer... how does that work?!
