Nwr: etiquette question

FI and I are going to our newly married couples new house. They are having a house warming party in two weeks but we are going over tonight for dinner. Should I take a house warming gift tonight or wait till the party?

I would take one tonight if it were me, but I'm a bit of a gift-giving monster....I met my new niece last night and took a bag of gifts for my nephew so he didn't feel left out!!

I would probably bring some wine or liquor or something like that for the dinner party. and then something different for the housewarming.

Yes, I'm with Zuester, I would bring something to share like wine or dessert but I would save the gift for the housewarming party.

We did end up taking a bottle of wine (which was delicious!) and I will be getting a more official houswarming gift the party! Thanks ladies!
