You know those fake dogs/cats that you see in the mall? Do you find them cute or do you think it's kind of creepy?

Ok, it looks cute in the picture but I would vote for creepy.

Creepy! For two big reasons:

-They have this mechanical thing inside that makes it look like they're breathing. *Shudder*

-They're marketed (where I've seen them) as the "Perfect Pets," to be seen and cooed over and never having to be taken care of (fed, walked, litter scooped). It should be "Perfect Pets for People Who Shouldn't Have Pets."

Totally creepy. They sell those in a local store. My dog freaks out whenever we walk by one.

Do they have the "perfect kids for people who don't want to have real kids"? I will consider buying that... no breastfeeding, don't have to save for college funds... =p

Evonne - I think those are called dogs, ha ha! Just as cute, makes as much poop, but no sneaking out of the house or buying them a car!

Ann - that's what I told DH... "NO PUPPIES, NO BABIES!" We have 2 cats right now and they are pretty self sufficient. I need to have a puppy first before I can have a real baby. I definitely need some "training"!

A puppy's only a lot of work for the first month or so, then it tapers off over the next year or so. When the dog's full grown, she's not much work at all.

I guess the same's true for babies, but on a MUCH longer time frame.
