NWR: Gall bladder surgery

For two weeks now we have teams at work doing a Biggest Loser competition. I ve been counting calories and carbs. Going to our YMCA doing classes and stuff 2-3 days a week. I did lab work today for gall bladder surgery and they were all PERFECT. I was thrilled. My doctor was very impressed as well. I know surgery is one day sane day but I am a nurse and we make awful patients. I can't really afford to be off work.

Aw, you'll do FINE! You'll be back to normal in no time. My MIL never even took more than Tylenol after hers, and she was moving around like normal the very next day. And mine would've been fine if I hadn't been allergic to the surgical adhesive. That was awful, but that wasn't a common reaction. I'm just weird! ;-)

I'm confused are you having it or not? I had mine removed in nov. And I'll tell you what if I had known it wasn't such a big deal I'd have carted my butt to ER long before I did. The discomfort after was so not worth the pain before. BUT. My gall bladder was so infected it was shut completely. :( I had a hard time fitting into my wedding dress before I knew what was wrong.

Yes I am. He said I had to be off work a few yes. I have epilepsy so its completed with meds they can and can't give me. I'm a nurse so I know its a small procedure that isn't a big deal. I think anytime you have surge its a big deal. I just hate going to the dr that's all.

I HATE/LOATHE going to the dr's... and was having episodes/attacks for months! so i know how you feel. that night i just couldnt bare the flare ups anymore. (they had gone away after an hour or so before, but this one didnt stop till they medicated me in the ER and even then i was still mildly discomforted) In the end it was a good thing its done and taken care of! I would have hated to have ended up in the ER on my wedding night! Also if it would have ruptured (which i imagine would probably not have been far off) i would have been in deep poop. I'm sorry your condition complicates things, but im sure everything will be ok. (and i have a friend who is a nurse and she tells me all sorts of stories... i started panicking on the operating table because my IV stopped working... whoops. everything was fine though)
