NWR: GRADUATION

My twin daughters, my babies graduate from high school Saturday. None of my family is going and it really upsets me. My sister who is my MOH volunteered to work. I made special arrangements to make sure I attended her daughters high school graduation, her babys first birthday. Im more upset that it hurts my girls. The man theyve called their dad for the last 18 years wont even go because he told them he dont want to see me with my new bf. I asked my FI if he was going and he said yes. I had not said anything but if he had said no it would have been a huge deal breaker. So i was relieved when he said yes. I probably shouldnt let it upset me but it does.

I'm sorry that your family doesn't want to be involved, that stinks. I hope it doesn't taint their day too badly, it's the culmination of a lot of work. I'm glad that they have a proud mama to cheer loud though!

Hope everything goes well, they both know how important they are to you and that's all that matters.

Enjoy your day xx

Hey Kim, So sorry to hear this :( I would feel the same way. Unfortunately it won't change anything, and as long as your girls are happy and excited to graduate, that's all that matters! And hell yea your FI should be there now! I'm glad he went (it was today, right?) How was it?

It was yesterday. It went well. Of course I cried like a baby. My sister called today and I let it go to voicemail. She said to tell them Congrats. Her daughter graduates in June from nursing school. Call it payback but Im not going.. that may be horrible but Im upset

Kim, so so sorry to hear this. But also, a big huge songrats to your girls!

I'm just trying to play devil's advocate here but sompletely support whatever you decide to do come June. Not going in June would also hurt your niece while getting back at your sister. Just think of how your daughters felt. I sort of know where you're coming from. I have a tough time getting along with my brothers wife, but they have 3 kids and I try to think of them first, no matter how I'm feeling. Just a thought!
