NWR: helpful trick to removing sticker goo

I bought these bud vases from IKEA and was cursing IKEA for their insistence on putting uncooperative stickers everywhere and found this handy trick for removing excess sticker goo:

Use another piece of tape (I used packing tape) and use it to dab off the goo--works like a charm.

Hope this is helpful to someone!

alcohol sometimes works, and so does lighter fluid....if you happen to have that handy!

GoofOff is awesome on glass, but don't use it on plastic.  WD-40 works pretty good too.

a hair dryer works too... if you blow the heat on the sticker, it comes off cleaner. or it can be used to loosen the sticky residue enough so you can just pill it off.

I used warm water, soap, and a sponge.  Simple, quick, and cheap - rubs right off!

GooGone

Placing a piece of tape (scotch) over the tag for removal

Peanut Butter - but that's messy!

I worked at a candy/gift store and the owner had all sorts of tricks to get the sticker goo off! The best way to take the tag off and for it to not leave any goo behind is it put scotch tape over it and rub it real hard and then rip the tape off! But leave a piece of the tape up so that you have something to pull it from!
