Hand made gift. I make ornaments for our mail lady

Our oil person gets hand made cookies dipped in chocolate. He is a single guy and no one makes him goodies.

I own my own business and I share my office space with another company. I will give K.A. a bottle or two of wine and J&A V. I will give specialty Beer and Wine

Family all get handmade gifts.

Last year, we gave our mailman a plate of homemade cookies.  This was the first year in many that I have been able to give something like that because in our apartment, we used to have so many different mail carriers.  We are planning on making him something homemade again this year.

You could also give him/her a gift card for a restaurant or something if you didn't want to go the homemade route.  : )

That's so sweet that you want to give them a gift! I used to work for the postal service, and I know they appreciate that. Did you know that they're not allowed to accept anything worth more than $20? Just something to keep in mind. It's the thought that counts! :)

When I was a daycare teacher we (the kids & I) used to make baked goods and a card for the crossing guard -not mailman, but community worker :) she loved them!

My mom works for the post office and often gets a card with a handmade gift/cookies. She has also received $20 gift cards for restaurants as well as scratch off tickets (we're in FL). I think your mailman will appreciate any gift!  =)

Laura and Star, I did not know that there was a limit of what you could give.  Thank you for posting that info - good to keep in my Christmas book.

We always give Cash in a nice handwritten card..Cash is always appreciated, especially around the holidays and remember they have to walk around all day with whatever you and the rest of the neighborhood gives them..so nothing  big, awcward or heavey
