NWR Travel Help................Canada to Alaska???

I need help planning a trip to Homer, Alaska. The plan is to drive to Washington or Canada and get on a ferry. i have been to a lot of websites and am confused the one site says from washington it will take 6 days to get to Homer. I want to know if I drive to Canada will it take less days to be on a ferry? Basically I am trying to figure out what is the shortest route and am confused. If you can help or have a website that would be great.

This ferry site has a live chat button up on the right hand side of the page. Try that! :) I hope that helps. It looks like there are both ferries, and cruises with this company.

You could drive the 'scenic route' from where I am!! It only 2201 miles ;)

I had a look but didn't see a Vancouver to Homer cruise, I only had a quick look though. I'll get FI to ask his colleagues, they are all based in the Vancouver area

BC Ferries only goes as far as Prince Rupert, and I think you can take Alaska Ferries from there. I'm not sure how many hours it is, but Vancouver to Prince Rupert is an overnight trip. If you can't take Alaska Ferries from Prince Rupert and you're okay with driving part of the way, you could always get off in Prince Rupert and drive the rest of the way. Highway 37 is one of the ways to get to Alaska through BC, and is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Prince Rupert. I just looked it up though and it would be a 35 hour drive from Kitwanga (Highway 37 junction), so I don't know how you'd feel about that. I grew up near the Junction, but have never actually been to Alaska myself, so most of this is just what I know from friends who have gone there.

HTH!
