Offically TTC!!! :)

Hey Girls!!

My husband and I are offically ttc now! We had our first TTC apointment with my gyno, and I feel a lot better after seeing her! We kind of already started trying like 3 months ago..but not really trying, just sort of see what happens..but we got nothin! Anyways, I was told a year ago that I may have endometriosis, they couldn't "confirm" I have it without doing surgery..but I have all the symptoms. So since hearing that I have been kind of depressed, and feeling like it's never going to happen for us. My gyno told us not to worry, that we have no reason to feel like it wont happen, and to stop stressing and just see what happens. I have a couple blood test apt's booked for December, so I guess we will just wait and see. Anyways, Im not too sure how the whole "ovulation charting" works, and I also wanted to know if you ladies had some advice..like do we try every 2-3 days? or try everday!? I know its personal questions but I really want to do this right, and you girls always know best ;)

I also wanted to say congrats to all of you for TTC, it's soooooo exciting!! :)

Congrats on starting on this journey.  I joined Fertilityfriend.com and have found it helpful. They send you a fertility "lesson" by email each day and I think it is very helpfula and informative. Although we are not actively TTC until April, I wanted to start to have an understanding of how it all works and a better understanding of my body in general, and this site has helped me in that way.  I am semi charting some of my info on the siteso I can start to understand when my body is ovulating and so on. That way when the time comes to REALLY start trying, we have a better chance.

Good Luck :)

Congrats! Welcome to the group!  I'm going to agree with Combes2Be and recommend that you sign up for fertilityfriend.com and start learning about charting and TTC.  The site has been really helpful in learning about what signs my body gives when ovulating, what to look for etc.  It's a very easy site to navigate and you'll get the hang of things really quickly.  Be sure to take the lessons which will teach you about ovulation and how to time intercourse for the best results.

Also, many of the ladies on here have read "Taking charge of your fertility" and suggest it.  I'm waiting for my copy to arrive any day now.

On another note.....I've had THREE yes, THREE friends in the past year get pregnant who were told they had endometriosis.  Two of them were sure they would never have children.  So no matter what the doc says in December, don't give up!

I think you need to chart your cycle and try to pinpoint your ovulation using your temperature and other body changes such as cervix softness and position as well as cervical mucous. I would do it every fertile day like O-4 O-3, O-2, O-1 O AND O+1. The man's sperm quality decreases with swimmers the more you have sex so save them up and have marathon BD sessions.
