I personally did not buy books, but I did sign up for a bunch if web cites (such as, what to expect, baby center, sprout, etc) and got daily updates. The daily and weekly info, is pretty much the same stuff you get in the books. I also love that each article has (usually) a bunch of comments from fellow mamas. It gives a lot of insight reading about other people's experiences. I like the user comments a lot.

I know lots of people recommended the book called "Belly Laughs" by Jenny M. :) She is soo funny.

I also liked the weekly emails from BabyCenter and the Bump. My insurance sent me the Mayo Clinic's Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy which I only used as a reference. I also read Hypnobirthing and Birthing From Within but only liked bits and pieces of each. The only book that I really found helpful was "Happiest Baby on the Block".
