Open Bar?

Will you be having one?  Or a host bar, cash bar, beer & wine, signature drink(s)?

FI and I have just found out that we'll be able to have an open bar at our wedding.  We are beyond thrilled.

We thought our budget would only permit beer, wine, and a signature drink.

Luckily, our venue allows us to supply our own liquor, beer, and wine! We're planning to buy our alcohol on sale in bulk from places like Sam's Club.  =)

We are having an open bar. I am not really a drinker but I think it is kinda rude if you have a cash bar..or no bar at all. Maybe I'm weird that way??! We can bring in our own alcohol to have all weekend but for the reception we have to consume theirs..I really wish we could supply our own for the reception but...I would like to have a signature drink as well but so far I can't think of a cute one!

Open bar it is!! We are planning a signature drink too! I am only buying a set amount of supplies. Once it's out, it's out! I've seen some insane bar tabs!!!

We are probably not having a alchoholic bar at all other then maybe a signature drink and champagne. We may instead serve mocktails.

He has a couple alcoholics in the family and recovering alcoholic friends; and none of our close family and friends drink and we don't drink so we are bypassing it all together...

Open bar! But only select drinks: red wine, white wine, champagne, and beer.

We're thinking beer and wine. We live in the Midwest so beer is accepted and expected. :) It's something all of our guests drink, if at all.

For the moment we are having a full open bar, but im considering changing it to beer, wine, and two signature drinks.  Ive been to a few formal events lately and am noticing how little people actually utizlize the bar, maybe 3 drinks on average when the party has people on the dance floor.

I'd love to do an open bar, but It's so expensive. We already have to pay for 1 bartender for every 50 quests (that means at least 3), but in texas you also have to pay for security guards; for us that means 2 security guards for 4 hours an open bar on top of that is not going to happen. We're doing Unlimited beer and house wine and then a cash bar for anyone who has to have liquor.

Nope no alcohol at all here. We didn't want the extra charge. Plus after seeing fi's uncle at His cousins wedding we decided absolutely not. He was drunk before the ceremony even started.

I'm with you Star, we're having an open bar too.  Our venue allows us to bring our own without any corkage fee.

Beer only, using metal tubs at our casual affair.  Then we will have beverage stations with punch and nice cold iced water (bottled water).  LOl......

We originally signed for an open bar but now since we realized not many of the guests drink we are changing it to a cash bar.
