Opinions Please! Instead of corsages....

I would really like to give my mom and my FMIL these bracelets... one with cream pearls and blue gems (my mama's fav color) and one with cream pearls and purple gems (his mama's fav color).  I found them here... Lulusplendor.  As a few of you ladies know I have a slight obsession with her stuff anyhow....

I would really like photo 1350411-1

And then I would give each "honor" attendant a single long stemmed rose to carry.  I am in love with this idea but a few people think it's stupid....  opinions???

I think its a great idea! My mom hates corsages but I'm making her wear one anyway. She would love it if I did bracelets like these instead. Plus, its something that they can keep forever, instead of just throwing away the corsage.

LOVE the bracelet idea for the mil/fmil!

What are the honor attendants?  Nothing wrong with a single rose instead of a whole bouquet if you ask me :)

I think this is a really good idea. It's something they can keep forever.

Honestly, I am doing that same kind of thing!  I think it will be more special because the bracelet will not wilt and die and get thrown away or fall apart.  My mom doesn't wear jewelry though so I am thinking to get her a scarf pin because she wears alot of scarves!

I really think it's a great idea BUT alot of ppl (including a large amount of guests in attendance probably) wear bracelets anyway and altho they idea of having one long stemmed rose to carry is nice, they will probably put it down and not pick it back up because it is hard to mingle, socialize, have a drink in your hand when you have to carry something - and in that case - they will look just like every other guest.

I think I like the idea of a traditional corsage better....(sorry, if that's not what you want to hear!)

depending on how the bracelet is constructed, perhaps your florist could build a corsage onto the bracelet....then the moms could cut the flowers off after and have a nice bracelet to keep. i used to do this all the time for my brides!
