Orchids?

Hello ladies,
Does anyone know good sources for white cymbidium orchids?
Has anyone used that orchids.com website or calyxflowers.com? Any other good online sources?

Also has anyone seen bouquets of dendrobium orchids done without being cascades, i.e. removing the blooms and wiring them the way its usually done with cymbidiums?

I'm having a hard time figuring this flower thing out. I liked the roses on marthastewartflowers.com but after investigation, that variety doesn't always come out with that hue of purple. So... I'm trying to think what else works. Maybe calla lilies or orchids or I don't know, any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

These are mokara orchids, but they are similar in size to dendrobiums and grow in the same way...

I have not seen dendrobiums wired before, but it doesn't mean that a florist couldn't do it. They do it with stephanotis.

I've ordered from calyxflowers.com many times and have always been pleased with the results. They're not cheap though! Other options (that I have not tried) include Fifty Flowers (http://www.fiftyflowers.com/flowers/Orchids_130.htm), Grower's Box (http://www.growersbox.com/catalog/orchids-221/?osCsid=d95d569873f062d3ecb4a41ddba7be7b), and Flowerbud (http://www.flowerbud.com/flower-market/orchids). Good luck!

if you're in the LA area, i suggest going to the downtown flower district. a strand of orchids is about $8... totally reasonable! you could talk to some of the merchants who set up there and work out a deal/plan for white orchids for your wedding.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to check our fifty flowers, they've got a ton of selection too. We'll see, I'll keep you updated, I'm a little overwhelmed with the flower thing. There are so many options, looks etc... How did you all decide??

I've been keeping my eye on FiftyFlowers. I'd love to hear any feedback if anyone has ordered from them. I'm planning to use the Mokara orchids. The "Red" and "Buffalo Orange."
