People's True Colors

Hey everyone! I have been in a few weddings and have helped with others and I notice that some people tend to show their true colors when weddings come around..

have you experienced this? who was the conflict with? If a person in your bridal party, did you kick them out of the bridal party or did you keep them? have any friendships been dissolved because of jealousy?

I want to hear from you and how you overcame it! :-)

I am currently in the planning stages and I am hoping I don't experience this :-(

I have heard this happening, which is very sad. Maybe something about weddings brings out the worst in people? I was lucky to not have to deal with anything like this. I hope you don't either!

Some people go through it and some people don't. I actully made it very easy for my BM's yet they were still THE WORST when it came to my wedding. Very ungrateful and lazy. All the way up until I put my gown on and even one during the wedding was trying to get people to leave my wedding to go to her party. My guest looked at her like she was insane. We didn't even notice when she left. Lol!

My advice is remember this is your day. Don't let anyone ruin that for you. If you need any help, PW is here. Good luck!

I have never experienced this and I have been in a number of weddings over the years.

Maybe it has more to do with the personality of the bride and whom she chooses?

If you know how you react to stress and how your friends react to stress that may help with picking out the right people.

Unfortunately I can tell you a story.  She is my Brother-in-Love's girlfriend and she is jealous because I was getting married & she isn't.  With the Vow Renewal hovering in the sky, she still isn't thrilled with me.  I did nothing but tried to include her in the most genuine & sincere way.  When we got married we did not have bridesmaids & groomsmen.  When we have the Vow Renewal she will not be a bridesmaid.  Just do what makes you happy.  If someone isn't genuine in their happiness for you then why would you want them as a part of your special day?
