photo booth area for your reception!

Hey girls-

I just got married in October and I wanted to have a photo booth section, but couldn't afford the real booth prices.  So, I kind of did a makeshift set up...

I had a red curtain made, and also got poles made to hold up the curtain.  I used a regular curtain rod across the top... and we set some chairs in front.  People came up and took photos by themselves or group photos using our digital camera.

Another thing we did, is bought the modern day Polaroid camera that prints out little photos instantly.  They have a peel off sticky back, so we got a blank frame and backed it with a matte.  People took a picture, printed it out, stuck it on the matte and signed next to it!

Now we have this as our "photo" guest book and will keep it forever.

I am selling the two poles and the curtain for $100.  I'm in the Southern California area (La Palma)... if you're interested, you will have to pick them up.

Thanks!

That is fabulous!  You should write an article for the guide on how to do this.  It has come up a lot!

Awww Desert  thanks for remembering :)

LRS - it looks like you had 3-4 panels which turned out better than mine... I loved how everyone went back for lots of pics!  I'm glad your guests loved it.  Hope you find a new home for your curtain/rods!

K this is such a good idea. I'm going to have to steal this idea!! I'm in Victoria Canada or I'd want your pole and red screen!

Are you willing to ship it to Florida?  I will gladly pay any shipping, if not, could you please tell me where you got everything to make it?  My e-mail is Shmily124@aol.com

Thanks so much!  Your wedding looked like a blast!!!

Also, are you selling the camera?

I am doing something similar but my photographer is setting up a "budget"
one for me, doing like you did but just with a plain background. (I wish we could find something cuter.) What I wanted to ask you was, how did you give out/display the photos, to give back to your guests?
