Please help me find this

Some of you may already know I'm making my own invitations as I mentioned it in my PPs.. They aren't on paper...so I need something to ship them in and want to make the box part of the invitation. The Thank You cards I got for my engagement party came in this box...it's perfect for what I need it for, I just need it a bit bigger (6x5x2.5) and blank (unfinished) , so I can decorate them. Anyone have any ideas where I can get them, preferably wholesale? Or know what the style of the box is called? It a hard but thin cardboard and has a flip top.
Thanks........By the way,

I already called the company I bought the thank you cards from, they don't make the boxes themselves and they aren't allowed to disclose who there manufacture is =oP

Try www.plumparty.com, www.paper-source.com or Michael's. If you live in LA, Moskatel's in downtown LA next to the flower mart might have them too (public and wholesale). Good Luck! Meg (www.lapartievents.com)

For some reason, I want to say they're called "cigar" boxes.

That box is so pretty. I love the red/brown birds on the top!

It kind of looks like a pencil box - a lot fancier than the ones I used to have though.

Check out Cavallini.com. They have a lot of items in that style. They don't have that particular box, but they have papers and whatnot that look similar.

Could you silk screen a box?

The box I posted photos of is from papyrus, my thank you cards came in it. It's not the graphic I need, it's the box itself. All I want is a plain unfinished box...I am going to wrap it inside and out with fabric and silkscreen the top. I never thought it would be so hard to find....

Another option is to buy unfinished wood cigar boxes (my original plan), but once again very hard to find in the size I need. Also expensive...

Anyway I checked out all the sites you mentioned, no luck =oP Papersource had a kit to build a box out of bookboard (the material I wanted the box made of), but I would need the board cut, cause the box would be to big. Plus I was hoping to have it already built, as it will save me a lot of time. =oP

That Cavallini web site was very nice though, and when I open my business I may work with them, so some good came out of the misunderstanding =o) Thank You

In the mean time, if anyone knows where I can get a plain box, made out of either light weight wood or bookboard,6.25 inches across X 5 inches deep x 2.5 inches high, keep me posted =O)

Thanks Everyone

It's a cigar box. Joann fabrics sells wooden ones, its pretty close to what you are looking for...

Take a look at these links. They don't have hinged tops, but they might work if you can't find anything else. Good luck!
