Please Help with Sweet Heart Table

I just read this blog about ettiquette and sweet heart tables and I had a question.

I would like a sweet heart table, so that I don't have to worry about seating, but I also don't want to be center stage.

How do I do a sweet heart table and not make people feel like we are not equals?

We will not be on stage when we eat, however we are saying our vows on stage because I thought it would be pretty. Is this tacky too?

Originally I was going to do a loveseat at a regular table for us, but We decided it was too much work to truck it to the event.

The only difference that would be between our table and the rest would be my our teacups being at our seats and my boquet being used as a centerpiece instead of a cookie pedastal.

Please note this is also not a gift giving event, so does that make it less of an issue of appearing "on stage"?

Any help or advise would be appreciated.

The sweetheart table gives the couple moments to share alone and is really a preference. I wanted to do a sweetheart table because I am a hopeless romantic, but my hubby wanted the head table with the whole wedding party. It was so funny the wedding party didn't even stay seated at the table because their significant others were not in the wedding, so they ended up sitting at tables with them, which is why I wanted the sweetheart table! Lol

I personally don't think anyone will feel like they are not equal to you and DH if you have a sweetheart table and I don't feel like it will make you appear on stage either. Plus remember, it is you and DH day so you and him are going to be the stars for the day anyway!

You are so close to your big day. Don't start second guessing yourself! It is Your Day, Your Way!

Tressy put it the way I would.  I'm sure your attendants would rather be with their own significant others so don't even worry!

We had a sweetheart table, it was great! When else will you have one if not at your wedding? And the day is all about you and your husband to be, why shouldn't you have a special place? they are all there to honour you, there is nothing wrong with it. Enjoy!

We did one...best decision ever! We actually got to eat and enjoy a few minutes together. Afterwards, we went around to each of the other tables and spoke with everyone for a few minutes. It was great! I don't think anyone was offended that we chose to eat as a couple. I actually think our bridal party appreciated being able to sit with their spouses/families:)

we are doing one and it is elevated.. that is how the venue set it up. i may ask that to be changed because it seems there is so little room when we pull out our chairs i would be scared to get up at all! anyway.. i dont see an issue with it lol

I am so excited about our sweetheart table.  I am adding little extra's that he won't even know about until the day of the wedding.

Can't wait!
