What is your favorite slow cooker recipe?
Post pictures if you have them :D
So far it has been Chicken Tortellini Soup. No pics but I will be making it again in the next few weeks and I will update this.
Leftover chix from our roasted chicken,
1 1/2 cans of chix broth
1/2 cup of water.
Garlic, Salt, pepper to taste
2 Tb spoons of Italian seasoning
2 cans of diced Fire roasted tomatoes
1 small onion diced
1 package Whole Wheat Tortellini's (Whole Foods or Trader Joes)
Mix all ingredients except tortellini's in crockpot. Let that cook on low for 7hrs and throw in the tortellinis the last hour. I also sprinkled Organic Valley reduced fat monterey cheese over top of it for an extra added yum.
Mmmmm - that sounds good October!! Think I might make that tomorrow! Hope it tastes the same if I just use frozen chicken breasts!? :)
Our fav is beef stew. I just google a recipe for beef stew in the slow cooker each time (I can't keep track of recipes) and we always love it!
I used my slow cooker now, more than the stove.
Mine would have to be, the slow cooked BBQ chicken breasts or the Shredded beef soft tacos.
I put a Jennie-O Turkey Ham in the crockpot last week with pineapple juice and brown sugar spread all over it! Yum! Tasted like Christmas! :)
Don't have one yet :( (a favorite)
Need some inspiration :)
mmmm short ribs! i throw them in the slow cooker with chopped onions, carrots and garlic, crushed tomatoes, red wine, soy sauce and fresh thyme. total comfort food!
Bump!! I just retired my old crock pot and got a brand spankin new one!
4-5 lb pork roast
about 20 oz sprite or 7UP
You're favorite bbq sauce. I usually use a different one everytime, but sometimes we prefer Stubb's original
Put your roast in, pour the sprite or 7up over the top until almost covered. Cook on low heat for 8-10 hours until tender. Drain the juices, shred the pork roast, and dredge in bbq sauce. Put it all back into the crock pot for about 20-30 mins. Violia! Delicious.
*mhhmmm* sounds delicious! I've only used my slow cooker twice so far - but my second recipe was delicious..I made pulled pork sandwiches....I used a home made dry rub and then added a cup of BBQ sauce an hour before serving (after shredding).
with my home made slaw
with my home made potato wedges!
I made slow cooker mac and cheese on sunday and used this recipe
we had gone apple picking in the early afternoon and I picked up locally slaughtered lol garlic roasted bacon.....cooked that up and threw it in the crock pot with the mac and cheese....soooo yummy
I have 2.
The easiest dish in the world, that I make quite often, is 2-3 boneless/skinless chicken breasts, 1 jar of salsa, 1 can of black beans, 1 can of chicken broth. Set it to low when I leave for work and it's done when I get home.
My favorite is a ham & bean soup:
My mom made this when I was growing up. Now I always make it for football Saturdays in the fall and for winter bonfire parties. My friends start requesting it every September :)
Marcella shared her Sweet/Spicy Chicken wings over in Our Tuesday Crockpot club on Facebook. I made them today and they were AWESOME.
Package of chicken wings (I used the party wings about 12 wings)
Salt and pepper to taste (estimated 1/4 t of each) 1 1/2 cup favorite barbecue sauce or homemade 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey 2 teaspoons prepared mustard or spicy mustard 2 teaspoons ground cumin (optional but I like it)2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Louisiana hot sauce to taste (I use Frank's and put in about 1/4 cup)Optional depending on your heat level:Diced fresh Jalapeno'sRinse chicken wings and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut off and discard wing tips, then cut each wing at the joint to make two sections. Sprinkle wing pieces with salt and pepper; place wings on a lightly oiled broiler pan. Broil for 10 minutes on each side or until they are browned. Transfer chicken wings to crockpot. In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, spicy mustard, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, and Louisiana sauce. Pour sauce over chicken wings. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Ladies - This recipe is awesome for game day!

Chicken Stroganoff (sounds weird--but trust me!)Ingredients
