  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? SALAD, FILET MINON, BABY BRUSSEL SPROUTS, TWICE BAKED POTATO, ROLLS, AND WEDDING CAKE.
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? THE SAME THING, BUT I THINK I WOULD HAVE ADDED A LOBSTER TAIL WITH LOBSTER AND CRAB FILLING INSIDE.  MAKING IT A SURF AND TURF.

  1. WHAT TIME PERIOD WAS YOUR WEDDING? My wedding was at 4:00 pm.
  2. DID YOU SERVE A SIT DOWN DINNER, BUFFET, DESSERT ONLY, FINGER FOOD, BRUNCH, OR COCKTAIL AND APP ONLY RECEPTION? Ours was a buffet.
  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? We had a variety of salads, fruits, and veggies to start with. Then we had a hot buffet of BBQ chicken, pork, and mutton, green beans with new potatoes, macaroni & cheese, fried apples, rolls, and cornbread muffins.
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? I don't know. My wedding was in a remote area without a lot of good catering options. More than likely I would've just served a more comprehensive buffet catered by the same restaurant. Everyone loved the food we had, and more variety would've been even better.
  5. WHAT FOOD DID YOU HAVE AT YOUR REHEARSAL DINNER? You know, I don't even remember. Lemon chicken, I think. Beyond that I just don't remember. It was a stressful night. MIL planned and paid for the rehearsal dinner, but she was very sick and had spent most of the afternoon in the ER. We were afraid she was not going to be able to be well enough to be at the wedding. She was there at the RD, but was weak and sick, and that's what I remember about that night.

WHAT FOOD DID YOU HAVE AT YOUR REHEARSAL DINNER? We had a BBQ with steak, chicken, ribs, pulled pork and loads of side dishes and red velvet cake for dessert (we had our wedding cake at our rehearsal instead of on our wedding day as we had more guests at the BBQ - weird, I know!)

  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? Kahlua pork, pineapple rice, salad, wow, I can't remember the rest, but people loved it :)
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? Honestly, I don't know. I probably would have seen if one of my favorite restaurants would have catered (although our venue was owned by a catering company so we chose that venue based on the food haha

My wedding was at 12:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve.  If money had been no object I would have had the wedding reception at the Roostertail in Detroit, Michigan on the waterfront.  My husband works for the navy and he loves the water and fishing.  We would have had a sit down four course meal which included a specialty drink named after us and walking appetizers while the guests waited for us to arrive.

What we had was a very wonderful buffet with herbed baked chicken, two pasta dishes, one with meat and one without, vegetable trays, fruit and cheese trays, rolls, butter, salad, red skinned potatoes, two vegetables and a dessert tray filled with three kinds of cheesecake and of course our wedding cake. 

We did not have a rehearsal dinner.  Our rehearsal was at the church and it was late in the evening (we had to wait for some out of town famly to arrive)

  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? Green chile chicken alfredo or lasagna (meat or veggie option), a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing, and cupcakes for the wedding cake.
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? The same thing! My options were the least expensive, but they also reflected our home state of NM, while offering people options they would be comfortale with. The only thing I would have changed would be getting to EAT my chosen meal at the wedding, LOL!
  5. WHAT FOOD DID YOU HAVE AT YOUR REHEARSAL DINNER? My in laws hosted at a local BBQ place- it rocked!

  1. WHAT TIME PERIOD WAS YOUR WEDDING? My wedding was at 3 pm, reception started at 5 for cocktails, 6 for dinner
  2. DID YOU SERVE A SIT DOWN DINNER, BUFFET, DESSERT ONLY, FINGER FOOD, BRUNCH, OR COCKTAIL AND APP ONLY RECEPTION? We had a sit-down meal, served to the head table and everyone else went through the buffet line
  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? Chicken cordon bleau or roast ham, garlic-butter green beans, salad, rolls - we went with a very simple, home-style meal cooked by the husband/wife duo that owned the hall where we had the reception
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? Probably something very similar, but a signature drink might have been fun! (We pop, lemonade and coffee with a cash bar)
  5. WHAT FOOD DID YOU HAVE AT YOUR REHEARSAL DINNER? We just had simple sandwiches and sides from Hy-Vee  catering - yum!

 sammy, i miss hyvee.  i use to live in kansas city and now i am in south carolina and we dont have hyvee.

 

everyones reception food sounds good to me.

  3. WHAT DID YOU SERVE? The meal choces were Filet Mignon, Salmon, Chicken and a pasta meal
  4. IF MONEY WASN'T AN OPTION, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE SERVED? Probably the same but would have had a midnight buffet with funky food choices.
  5. WHAT FOOD DID YOU HAVE AT YOUR REHEARSAL DINNER? We had a BBQ at our house and   had Filet Mignon (biggest mistake because the food at the wedding was fabulous but my husband makes the BEST Filet mignon and it was better lol)
