POLL: Your Beauty Regimen for the Big Day

I just booked an appointment for a wax and a facial the week before the wedding. Then I realized, I'm growing out my eyebrows in order to be shaped and waxed before the big day as well! haha.

What is/was your beauty regimen for the big day? Hair, skin, teeth, nails?

I did my nails the day before. It just gave me more time to relax and not have to leave the hotel on the day of. I also had a fresh mani for the bacc party. My hair and makeup were done the day of. I didn't do anything special for my skin or teeth. Everytime I mess with my skin regimen, it ends with a breakout. LOL! So I just washed my face with Bjore and was fine. My teeth, if I could do it again, I would have done a whitening treatment like for 2 or 3 months before. But I didn't do anything special! I know for the vow renewals! LOL!

well, i DO plan on brushing my teeth that day ;) im not doing whitening strips though, if thats what you meant lol.

for everything else, i am planning on going to the salon on friday for my eye brows and mani/pedi. luckily, i dont get very red after being waxed, and my brows always look the sharpest when they are fresh, so i want to go as close to my walk down the aisle as possible!!! and if theres any hope of my nails not chipping, i gotta do it the day before as well!! and i am debating if i should shower saturday morning, or friday night. im thinking friday night because my MUA and HS are coming over to start us at 730am. 1 month from tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh. and elise your like, what, 26 days away??! omg. are you getting nervous yet? bc i am nauseous. excited. but petrified! im really feelin the time crunch now.

Kelly, I KNOW!! Way back, I was telling myself I would have everything done two weeks before so I'm not stressing too close to the wedding. Well...that means I have a week and a half to finish everything! OOPS! Sooo, lots to do! But no, I'm not too nervous just yet :)

Yes, I definitely meant whitening strips for teeth! ;0 FI and I have been doing some white strips, but not too consistently, we probably should finish our pack like starting today. lol. I love getting facials every once in awhile, to even out my face a bit. I am going to get a mani/pedi the Friday before my Sunday wedding.

Okay, let me try to remember what all I did...lol...

Starting two weeks before~~Used a hand scrub and lotion twice daily to make sure my hands were soft and pretty.  I did this through the day of the wedding.

Wednesday before~~I went to the salon to have my eyebrows waxed and shaped.

Thursday before~~Applied my fake nails (I used a drugstore brand because it was less expensive, and they still looked nice), took a shower and shaved my legs that night, did the Lumene teeth whitening regimen.

Night before~~Did my pedi as part of my hen party, which included a foot scrub, took a shower and washed my hair (my hair gets very icky-looking if I don't wash it every 24 hours).  Then I was asleep by midnight to make sure I could get up around 6:45 a.m.

The day of~~Woke up, took a shower and shaved (just to get any last minute leg or underarm stubble that tends to crop up).  Did my usual face cleansing routine and brushed my hair out.  After a light breakfast, I went back up to the hotel room, brushed my teeth, flossed, and used mouthwash.  Got my hair done, and then I had a slight freak out because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to have everything done in time, so I applied most of my makeup (aside from eyeliner, mascara, and lip color) in the car (my SIL was driving) on the way to pick up our dresses and to the church.  At the church, we ate lunch, I brushed my teeth and used mouthwash again, I finished applying my makeup, and then got dressed.

I had my brow/lip wax appt 1 week before the wedding.

Highlights touch up was supposed to be 1 week before as well but my hairdresser who was also a BM was put on modified bedrest so I had to be squeezed into her co worker's schedule - touch up was done Wed before the Wedding.

I meant to do teeth whitening but never got around to it.

Nails and toes were done the day before.

I was exfoliating and moistering my skin two weeks leading up to the wedding. :)

I did the mani/pedi thing the day before. A week prior MOH and myself did massages and facials, that was my gift to her and a super relaxing me-time moment. I had planned to also wax my eyebrows right before but ended up trying threading...I recommend btw. They looked great without all the redness, the shape was slightly more dramatic than waxing and it lasted a loooong time!

I had been prepping my face for about a month ahead of time - lots of water, nightly clay mask to keep pimples/oil at bay, an exfoliating wash for a nice glow. And I did teeth whitening for about 3 weeks up to the morning of!

I bought one of those oscillating facial cleansing brushes and I've been using that once a day - amazing!! Starting in January I was getting monthly microdermabrasion (I used to struggle a lot with acne and had scarring I was trying to diminish). I'm tanning (nothing crazy just trying to get a healthy glow). I'm getting regular manicures and trying really hard to grow my nails out (I tend to pick at them so it's been hard not to). I'll get my eyebrows done that week. My mani-pedi Friday morning. The night before I'm going to take a bubble bath, shave verrrrry meticulously and wash my hair and put hair product in it so it's not too slippery in the am. That morning I'm going to do a facial mask that helps diminish my oiliness. I've been getting my hair done every 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks for a few months now to get just the right amount of highlights and lowlights. Oh and I am going to start using crest whitestrips next week.
