Spring/Summer 2012 Baby Bumps!

Poor Mr. Baxter... :(

So i've now been sick with a cold/allergies for over a week!  It's not been fun at all.  Yesterday I came to work and started to feel better, but the minute I walked into my house the coughing and stuffy nose came back and last night was so bad trying to sleep.  I was miserable.  And I think it's from Mr. Baxter...

So i ve now photo 3184811-1 So i ve now photo 3184811-2

My loveable labradoodle.  I think i've all of a sudden become allergic to pet dander or something.  Brie is so tiny that I don't think she'd affect me (my little maltese in the second picture).  But the bubs sheds and he's part of our family so he sleeps with us and cuddles with us on the furniture (even at 95 pounds!).  I text DH this morning and told him when he wakes up to strip the bed and tonight after our pizza night fundraiser i'm going to put new sheets on the bed, dust, and vacuum our entire bedroom and Baxter's kennel (his kennel is in our bedroom in the bay window and that's where is stays all day).  So now DH and I are gonna have to stay on top of vacuuming and dusting and possibly get a maid every other week for the duration of the pregnancy since our work schedule is so busy during the school year.  So tonight even though no matter how tired I am i've gotta clean!  And both dogs will be going to the groomer this weekend for a pre-winter shave! :)

My poor Mr. Baxter!

I hope the cleaning helps. Maybe it could even be something else in the house? I can't imagine giving up cuddling with that big cutie for months. It reminds me of the airedale I dogsat for a couple weeks. I absolutely fell in love with a dog that was the size of a small pony. lol

Sucky!! Do you have an air filter at all? I've heard those can really help but we are lucky that Nala (our goldendoodle) doesn't shed. My issue is that I'm sensitive to smells right now so I can't stand the smell of Nala!! Even after going to the groomers and having her teeth brushed, I still can't stand it, lol. I gag every time she's near. Poor girl...

You know now that you brought this up...I think I am starting to notice the same thing about my dog! This weekend I washed the sheets and vacumed...it seemed to help temporarily but now I am back to sneezing. Your doggy is so cute by the way.

Thanks girls!  Baxter is the best cuddler!!! :)  He's so sweet...he loves to give hugs!

@princess-your bup (we call dogs buppies...why i'm not sure it just stuck...lol) does look like a doodle!!!  Great coloring!

Last night we changed the sheets, vacuumed, dusted, and hubby cleaned off the fan and it seemed to help, but I noticed that i was getting sick at our fundraiser...so i'm thinking it's just an evening thing.  My body is just worn out from the day.  But we're still looking at getting a house cleaner and keeping thing extra tidy and keeping the big man washed more often.

Well, I guess the good news is Mr. Baxter isn't to blame? :) I've been sneezing alot more than normal, and I've noticed that my nose is stuffy. Mine doesn't bother me too much though. Maybe just try warm drinks? It makes me feel a little better.

I just had this subject of super clean houses come up the other day, so wanted to mention. I know that everyone thinks that the cleaner your house, the better for baby. My SILs 1 year old was just diagnosed with asthma. She keeps a "super" clean house, and takes baby outside very rarely. Nobody has ever smoked around her or anything like that either. She has been to the ER twice because of breathing troubles. My sister was like this, too. She also has kids with asthma. It might sound crazy, but I think that it's a problem of not being exposed to anything. I'm not saying expose a newborn to everything, but don't keep a 6 month old in a bubble. I was always a very easygoing parent, and I have 3 of the healthiest kids on the planet.

SIL has actually said that she won't let her stay outside at all until she's old enough to tell them if she has trouble breathing. Maybe I'm too far in the other direction of parenting, but that just makes me sad.

@onetxjewel - Thanks!  He is a good snuggler too, he loves to hug us.  That's funny, his name is Murphy but we call him bubbas more than anything and our boston terrier is Oscar but we call him binkies (stinky binks actually cause his farts are so gross!) I guess "B" words just stick with dogs :)

Like Julie I have had a constant stuffy nose since around 12 weeks and I notice I sneeze ALOT...everything I read says it's do to all the extra horomones so maybe it's that plus exhaustion for you?
