POST: Maternity Stores

Thought it would be a good idea to have a maternity store post centrally located for all of us mama's to refer to when we need to go shopping for special events, holidays or just because :)

Just came across this awesome site called Sweet Pea Maternity and I love it. Pretty affordable and cute clothes that I would totally wear even when I am not pregs. Here are a few that I love :)

I'm trying to avoid maternity wear if at all possible...thou I wil get some jeans and leggings...but I don't want to spend a lot of money on stuff i will only wear a few times...rather spend money on stuff afterwards!!

I did try on on Gap maternity skinny jeans that were super comfy...I am going to order those!

I heard great things about Gap Maternity! Gonna have to check it out :)

I too want to stay away from maternity wear as long as possible. I think most of my "maternity" clothes will consist of leggings and over sized shirts/sweaters, flats and flat boots.

I already received some maternity clothes from friends. So I think I'm covered for leggings, tops, dresses and even a winter coat. I also plan on wearing DH's sweaters too. But I do need some work appropriate attire. I don't have to wear business formal but I do need to look a bit more polished than leggings and oversized cotton shirts in meetings.

There is this other website that has cute maternity wear but it is by no means cheap.

I also like Sweetpea Maternaty stuff :) Never actually ordered anything there, but I have heard good things and the clothes do look cute. The only maternaty clothing item I have is one pair of black maternaty jeans. Most of my shirts still fit. I have a lot of babydoll style tops so they are almost like maternaty shirts and accomodate my belly really well. I mean I still have 10 weeks to go, so I still might have to buy something.

** I stickied this thread for easy reference**

I'm only 14 weeks and have been wearing maternity pants for about 2 weeks. I wear my regular pants really tight and I could feel it cutting into my stomach which made me worry.

Luckily the maternity pants turn my fat into a cute little bump =P

ASOS has a great maternity section; there are always sales going on plus free shipping on all orders.
H&M, depending on where you are, has an okay selection of maternity wear.
Destination Maternity is great as well, I purchased jeans, pants, and shirts all on sale.

Those are the three stores I purchased maternity wear from. I tried to shop the sale and clearance sections only lol

But don't forget to checkout Old-navy. Also for all mamas-to-be who are pregnant during the summer, maxi dresses (non maternity) are your BFF! Since I'm still pregnant in June I've been wearing my pre-preggo maxi dresses and they fit perfectly.
