post wedding projects?

Hey ladies,

Just curious, any post wedding projects?

Me:

Still (and will always be) schooling my show jumper Archie

Still (and will always be) working out, hehe, I swear, I will go to pilates three times a week again despite the wedding mucking up my discipline!

Redecorating apartment whoo FI, er wait DH, just gave me the go-ahead for decorating hehe I think I like this (seriously, I'm just kidding) I guess its nesting but not really since we've lived together for so long and have been thinking of re-doing things anyways.

Hey ladies Just curious photo 90100-1

Oh and post-wedding tasks:

albums

thank you gift baskets to favorite vendors

thank you notes... haha still have so many to do

vendor reviews for pw

redo bio to be more helpful for future brides

My husband and I just bought a house so we'll probably spend most of our time fixing it up and decorating it.  I just there was a website like PW for people who just a buy a home and haven't the slightest clue where to start or what color to paint the walls or what kind of furniture to buy.

Beyond trying to sell as many items as possible, choosing pictures for the albums, and writing thank you notes, my husband and I each started new jobs.  Also, I am getting my new business going.  Between each of those things and both of us coaching (me - cheerleading, DH - football and wrestling), we are so busy!!

it seems such a long time away but the immediate after wedding project will be honeymoon planning as we won't be taking that until about 8 months after the wedding.

hmmmm...

looking forward - i think the top 5 priorities after we get married:
- continue paying off our next wedding in aug 2009 and finally get married again in church and have our family and friends there to celebrate
- continue looking for a place to settle down - and taking our time doing it - based on my current sitch, we will still be living as we are now - so no "nesting" until after next august is what we're aiming for
- c'mon twinsies!! i want twins ideally - hoping for 2010 to welcome little ones
- start to take on more DOC projects as i take the baby steps into opening my own wedd-planner biz
- not really a project---> but i am looking forward to just being a wife and taking care of my husband

Ha, mine are not really normal post wedding plans, but our plans for after the wedding are to go to Iraq.

I wouldn't recommend this but the day after we got home from our honeymoon, we demolished our kitchen and half bath and started renovating both from the studs and subfloor up.  DH was amazing as I only was without a sink one day during the entire event.  He said it would take 3-4 months.  Never trust a husband's estimation of how long a project like that will take.  It took us 18 months!  We still have to do the trim work but other than that, the kitchen has been done as well as the half bath.  We get tons of compliments on both and it was worth it but I'm not sure I'll ever take on a project like that again.  The house was covered in dry wall dust for what seemed like forever!

Thank you notes were done the day we left for our honeymoon.  I didn't want that hanging over my head so the morning of the day we left, I wrote the ones for the things we had gotten on our wedding day and we mailed them on the way out of town.

The best part of coming home was seeing our dogs again.  I really missed them.  Now they travel with us everywhere we go but on the honeymoon, we spent a week in Canada and didn't want to hassle with them crossing the border.
