Potluck Shower Wording -- HELP!!

Hi There! I will be throwing a potluck baby shower for a friend, how would you word your invite so that it does not sound rude or tacky to ask guests to bring a dish? It will be a smaller shower, only 15 guests are being invited. I know this isn't a baby board, but I know all of the ladies on here are creative, so I am in need of some help! Thanks so much!

the only few thngs I can think of are

Bun in the oven--- but I got nothing beyond that-

or Ready to pop - you could do a popcorn bar for desert -

or Cupcake- ?????

these are the only food related ones I can think of........but its a start right?

and I do not think its rude at all. What about a theme?  like mexican or italian food?

hopefully it's a little bit helpful.........

Can you put on the invite "To help us celebrate, bring your favorite dish! We're having a potluck!" or something like that would be cute!

I love senoritashannon response.  That is a great way to say "bring a dish to pass".  You can also say that.

I would say something along the lines of -

______ is having a baby!

This beautiful and momentous occasion deserves a celebration! Please join us at __________ on __________.  Bring a kid-friendly and healthy dish and your recipe for making it.  We will eat together, tell stories, and share our recipes with our mother to be! Please RSVP to ____________ by ______________.

Hope to see you there!

found this wording here

There's a bun in the oven! So, couples come on over and bring your favorite dish so we can help keep this couple's little bun warm when it's fresh out of the oven with special gifts designed espcially for a tiny tot while enjoying some good food and lasting friendship!

You're invited to a potluck that is being held to congratulate my sister and her husband on the new addition to their family! Please bring a dish to share and your appetite for some great food! We're looking forward to having you there to celebrate this special occasion with us!

How about something like this?
