I offered to pay for my FG (niece)but my sister said she would. I think it just depends...but if I can find a dress under $50, I wouldn't mind paying for it. I went to Davids Bridal because I am in a desperate search for shoes and I saw some of their FG dresses and they were in the hundreds!!!

theDame-- There are no hard and fast rules. If you want/can buy it, that's a nice gesture. Or you can choose one, but at least if you choose a less expensive ones the parents will be grateful.

Both I and my BFF bought our FG dresses after Easter last year from Marshall's...I paid $20 for a cute embroidered linen and lightly bead embellished dress for my niece to wear at our wedding and my BFF picked up two ivory silk dresses for her little flowergirls for $35 each.

Thanks for the heads up, Lori!

I saw those on Overstock.com, too and loved this one:

I really love the one's on Foxnlily.com -- especially the "Chloe", but could never afford that (let alone ask the parents of my FGs)!

I'm still looking for a dress that matches it!

Miss Mandy...the one on overstock is quite similar. Is it the sash color you need to be different? That would be a cheap and easy fix!
